Sun May 1 = Got a lot done today. It took about a half hour to drive to Powder Springs The main events were doing some grocery shopping, doing a workout at a Planet Fitness, doing my little bit of laundry at the Homestyle Laundromat and working on business in my van until bedtime.
- The laundromat was a good one, with all tumble washers and wifi.
- I even got four new fans:
Sean Poolman; Planet Fitness Hiram, GA 5/1/22
Fan

Josh Zacharewicz; Planet Fitness Hiram, GA 5/1/22

Rondo Buckets; Chris Stanford; Walmartk Hiram, GA

- Got to bed at 10:42 with morning shade, courtesy of the Powder Springs American Legion Post 294 parking lot.

Mon May 2 = I spent lots of time at the Powder Springs/Cobb County Library. In preparation for ordering more T-Shirts, I updated my merch sales records as well as my ordering spreadsheet, using the Square cash register on my Android.
- I also contacted Custom USB, getting ready to order another run of my Album #2's. I only have about four left. Many people prefer Album #2 because it is less clean than my Album #3
- The good news is that the library has soft chairs and Internet. The bad news is they block FTP so I was unable to update my website. I drove all over the area (Wendy's; McDonalds; KFC; Taco Bell etc.) looking for a place that had a salad and WiFi. I finally found it at the Chick Fil-A in Hiram, GA, maybe 6 miles away.
- At the library I had a case of slight non-smelly, non-stating anal leakage. I thought it was gas. No one knew but me, thank goodness.
- Got to bed at 10:35 in the parking lot of the American Legion Post 294 in Powder Springs. I found a quiet corner of the lot away from the noise of Florence Rd where there would still be some shade in the morning. The noise from an occasional train about a mile away was still with me.

Tue May 3 = This morning's first project was my Albums. I had things organized so as soon as I got a 32GB micro USB SD card I could load it up with both Album #2 and #3, which I got at Best Buy in Hiram, GA as soon as they opened the doors at 11:00
- There was a Discount Tire next door and I needed to have my tires rotated so I got that done while I put the files for my albums on the micro SD card and worked on my blog.
- On the way to lunch I stopped by the Hiram post office to mail the album files.
- Lunch was a Market Salad at Chick Fil-A. That salad lasted me about two hours while I was tucked back in a booth, my corner office, from which I updated my website, which I could not do...
- At the Powder Springs Library I did several things:
- I sent over $500 to Banner Alzheimer’s Research from my merch sales and donations during April.
- I ordered 80 T-Shirts to the tune of over $700. It is taking an adjustment on my part, dealing with these bigger dollar amounts.
- Got to bed at 10:35 in the parking lot of the American Legion Post 294 in Powder Springs. I found a quiet corner of the lot away from the noise of Florence Rd where there would still be some shade in the morning. The noise from an occasional train
- Got to bed at 11:55

Wed May 4 = For today's trip I stopped by Aldi for bread and bananas, then the Hiram Walmart for Hebrew National 97% fat free beef franks (rare in a Walmart), sweet potatoes and fat free cheese slices. Then I ate lunch before heading to the gym across the street from the Walmart.
- I spent almost two hours at the Hiram Planet Fitness. I hit the elypitical for two minutes, did a brief light fast full body workout, then a brief heavy slow full body workout, my
poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
and took a shower.
- Since the Hiram Walmart didn't have bulk water I drove about 7 miles to the Dallas, GA Walmart to refill my van's running water supply.
- Into the evening I socialized with Dave Baer the post cook and Donna Jones the bar tender and got pictures of them for my Fan web page.

Dave Baer ("Cook"); American Legion Post 294; Powder Springs, GA; 5/4/22
- For the night I parked the same place as yesterday, only facing west instead of east. It was a pretty good setup with slightly increased noise from Florence Road but much quieter train horns. It would have had a good night's sleep if my refrigerator temperature alarm had not gone off - twice, due to my
LiFeMnPO
my van's Lithium/Iron/Manganese/Phosphate/Oxygen house battery
's low voltage disconnect, which it does at 11.5 Volts. Each time I idled the engine for 10 minutes.
- Got to bed at 11:08

Thu May 5 = This morning at the Hiram Walmart I bought a double female HDMI connector to use if the post for tonight's show has an HDMI cable I can use as an extension.
- Interesting show at American Legion Post 294; 3282 Floence Rd; Powder Springs GA 30127 -
- Got to bed at 11:09 plugged into the post power.

Fri May 6 = The North Cobb Regional Library blocks FTP so I could not update my website. Neither do they have a paper cutter to use and their B&W print-outs are $.15/page (same price as the local Office Max).
- Had a good show at American Legion Post 304; 4220 S Main St; Acworth, GA 30101. My video recordings were unusable due to the loudness of the adjacent bar.
- Got to bed at 11:48 plugged into the post power, thank you!

Sat May 7 = The day started with a 2.5 hour drive down to Sandersville.
- Comedy, Sat May 7, 2022; 3:00pm; Amvets Post 110 ; Washington Co Sq, in the gazebo; 132 w Haynes St; Sandersville, GA 31082 - was my first show on a square. In this case, the Washington County Square. My audience of nine was all Black and all from the post.
- Here is the whole audience and the comedian: KatieHarden, FrankSimmons, Richard Harden, Arthur Russin, Lou, Charles White, Odelle Williams (84), Charlie Hill, Charles Ellison and Alexander Sparks.
FanFan
- Got to bed at 10:24 under a comfortor in the parking lot of the south Sandersville Walmart after buying a can of tuna and a can of tomato sauce there. I arranged things for the night with all my van doors open to cool it down, avoiding the need to add more covers due to the drop in temperature during the night.

Sun May 8 = This morning I drove about 3.5 hours to Valdosta, Georgia, just north of the Florida border.
- First stop was Planet Fitness for a light legs workout and then to the regional library.
- This evening I joined Fred Bates (below) at his house and a lot others, mostly from the post, for a good time that included ribs and libation (for most of the others).
Fan
- Got to bed at 10:36 near a tree beside Fred's house, plugged into refrigerator power, for the best night's sleep yet this trip. I had to get up for only 1.6 pees, although I did take a famotidine and a couple of Pepto Bismol tablets because of the fatty hot dog I ate at lunchtime and the delicious rib I had for supper at Fred's.

Mon May 9 = This morning I gave Fred my remaining and unopened four beef hotdogs (too much fat for my digestive system).
- Fred let me take his Miata MX-5 for a spin. I did it mostly to say I did it. Couldn't spin too much because the neighborhood speed limit is 25 mph.
Miata
- At Planet Fitness I did a brief heavy slow legs workout
- At 2pm I met the the AMVETS Post 607 post honchos at the post and we figured out the room layout for tomorrow's show: - Then I hung out at the library until it closed at 8pm, and then returned to the post for the night, plugged into their power under their canopy. There was quite a bit of noise from trucks and hot rods on Hill Ave (US Highway 221).
- Got to bed at 10:55

Tomorrow evening's show begins this six day, six city, six show stint:
  1. Tue May 10, 2022; 7:00pm; AMVETS Post 607; 728 E Hill Ave; Valdosta, GA 31601 -

  6. Sun May 15, 2022; 3:00pm; VFW Post 660; 5115 Ogeechee Rd; Savannah, GA 31405 -
Tue May 10 = It sparkles! After breakfast I went into the post and asked the cleaning crew (Dimitri and Jean) if there was an automatic touchless car wash around. They said, "No," but they could wash my van. And they did! What a crew!
- Next was to Planet Fitness for a brief heavy slow arms workout, a
poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
and shower.
- After lunch, instead of driving out to the library, I hung out at the post to do my office stuff. I phoned my contacts the posts for the next five shows.
- Tonight's show at AMVETS Post 607 was great with an audience of 44. Niki opened for me. This was the first time I saw and used a short throw projector for the video segment of my show.
- It's also the first time I did not load my comedy stuff after the show. It was time to close the bar and the Lady needed to leave, so I arranged to pack up and load up in the morning.
- Got to bed, plugged into post power, at 11:25 under my comforter, which was about right with a baby comforter added to my feet.

Wed May 11 = On the way to tonight's show I deposited about $300 to my Phoenix checking account through a shared branch credit union in in Hinesville, GA.
- Tonight's comedy was a comletely different experience than last night. VFW Post 6602 in Hinesville switched me from the hall (where Susan the manager said I would be the only one in there and without an audience) to the club/bar where they had a mic set up on the stage in a corner and a pool tournament going on. She let me rearrange the tables for a comely club.
- Although it was their steak night, not a single person sat in the comedy area. The steak was very good for which, as the entertainer, they charged me $18.
- With a total audiance count of about 18, most of them were in and out, and some of them (between five and one at various times) listened to what I was saying. After about 50 minutes, when no one had been listening for a while I ended the show early.
- I did get two new fans and sold an Album #3 to a gentleman who had missed my show. What sold him on buying the album was seeing it playing on my computer on my merch table.

- They let me park under the pavilion out back, which worked well after I found the one outlet out of 18 that had power for my little van's refrigerator, but only after extensive experimentation and finding the breaker to turn it on. It was my impression that this post did not anticipate or cover their bases very well, although they did use my publicity kit to publicize it.
- Got to bed at 11:10

Thu May 12 = The drive to Tybee Island was not too bad with a stop to deposit comedy cash at a shared branch credit union in Savannah.
- The American Legion Commander Ron Volmer and his wife Denise took me out to a late lunch/early supper. I had grilled salmon and pealed shrimp.
- They helped me configure the front half of their large hall for comedy and to set up the PA and video projector.
- The show was one of the best yet both from the audience and the video standpoint.
- Tom Paris from the Savannah Comedy Revue where I was in a show back in June 2018 stopped by to say Hi!
- Got to bed at 10:35 plugged into power and to the west of their post.

Fri May 13 = Today was one of the longest driving days between shows of my tour, from Tybee Island Georga to Tallahassee Florida. I arrived just in time to set up my merch and cameras.
- The show, in their hall, went well, except for my video segment. The little
Alcatel Plus 10
The little 10" Windows 10 computer I bought to get me by in Tobago in 2017 after my Dell laptop died. It's tight, with only 2gb RAM and a 32gb SSD hard drive, but the 128gb micro SD card I have in it helps a little.
I use for the source quit working. I'll have to figure it out when I have a chance.
- Got to bed at 11:41

Sat May 14 = Since I don't have a long drive today to tonigt's show at the American Legion Post 9 in Jacksonville, after breakfast I moved my van back where I'll have shade until afternoon and still have power for my computer and refrigerator, courtesy of my 50' extension cord and the VFW Post.
- Playing catch-up, I resolved my checking account for March.
-
George
younger brother who lives in Mesa, Arizona and has a mountain place up in Christopher Creek
gave me a phone call about a book he read by Hugh Ross, Why the Universe is the Way it Is, who is convinced that science supports the Bible and not other holy books of the world.
- Due to hanging out so long at the VFW in Tallahassee, doing some shopping at Walmart, making a new version of my Show Slips at an Office Depot and getting gasoline, I did not have time to set up my cameras at Post 9 in Jacksonville, so I made only an audio recording.
- Post 9 is probably the most active I have ever seen, with a total audience count of 65 for their Steak Night and my comedy show.
- Although the show was in the same large room as their bar, they did a fairly good job of listening, with some interesting audience interaction and, of course more visiting than I would like. I am getting better at put down the visitors, especially Blondy.
- With tonight's show I realized two things: 1) At veterans' posts it is normal for people to leave during my show and that is not a dis on my comedy. They have places to go and may not be stand up comedy fans; 2) People enjoy the show more than I think while I am doing the show. This is based on the after-show comments from tonight and last night.
- Got to bed at 11:14 with post power to the west of their security trailer.

Sun May 15 = Thanks, stranger, you saved by bacon! As I entered a Savannah Walmart, I struck up a conversation with two gentlemen, told them about my show tonight and gave them my new Show Slips. One of them read, "VFW Post 660 at 3:00. That's in 45 minutes." I excused myself and hot-footed it to the post, got my merch and PA system set up and engineered setting up up the hall for comedy.
- The audence of 12 enjoyed the show as indicated by an occasional laugh and a lot of chuckles.
- I sold a T-Shirt to Charles, the commander, and an Album #3 to Dave, the past commander.
- After the 3pm show I ate their delicious steak dinner, had some vegetables in my van, packed up and headed out.
- Got to bed in the Statesboro GA Cracker Barrell parking lot.

Mon May 16 = This was a catch-up day after doing six full-length shows for veterans in six cities and two states in six days.
    - I drove from Savannah GA to Augusta GA, stopping by places like:
  1. A credit union to deposit T-Shirt cash
  2. Burke County Library for office stuff (no FTP so couldn't update my website)
  3. Lowe's to find they did not have the contact cement I needed
  4. Ace Hardware for contact cement
  5. Office Depot to make more Show Slips (pink)
  6. Planet Fitness for elliptical and a legs workout
  7. Walmart on Bobby Jones Espy in Augusta for shopping & to update my website since I found that all Walmarts have WiFi and support FTP :).
    - As usual, I parked out across the parking lot to get some exercise by running to the door. As I passed a lady who was walking toward the store, as usual, I said, I'll get there before you do. For the first time ever I had this happen. She started running and claims that she beat me. We had a fun visit and met several times in the store while doing our shopping.
- I collected a several fans along the way.

- Got to bed at 11:08 in the Walmart parking lot for an unusually quiet Walmart night.

Tue May 17 = I got to VFW Post 5897 in Lavonia about 4pm where I met Chad, Jr Vice Commander and Gabby, who gave me my two boxes of T-Shirts. We worked out a plan for the next few days that included me parking my van out back with power for my little refrigerator and the shade of some trees in the morning.
- Then I went to the historic (that means old) Lavonia Carnegie Library until they closed at 6pm.
- Then, back in my van at the post, I added another first to my home page, Six full shows in six different cities in six days and in two states:
map
Tue May 10, 2022; 7:00pm; AMVETS Post 607; Valdosta, GA 31601

Sun May 15, 2022; 3:00pm; VFW Post 660; Savannah, GA 31405
- Got to bed at 11:08 behind the VFW Post with power and morning shade of a tree.

Wed May 18 = I spent some of the morning and most of the afternoon at the library and then headed to the VFW Post about 6pm. They had a pot luck which I only sampled because I had already had supper in my van.
- I inventoried the T-Shirt shipment and updated my sales records for the last six shows back to May 9th and discovered that it would have been a lot easier to use Square's email information than to use the phone app.
- Andy's big black pickup was parked in the overnight spot where I parked last night, his usual parking place. It is the only spot with power for my van's refrigerator and morning shade. I found out that it was Andy's usual parking spot. When it came time to move my van for the night, I couldent. By the time I got to bed late as a result, but still had a pretty good night's sleep.
- Got to bed at 11:54.

Thu May 19 = The library was closed today so I spent it at the VFW Post.
- Until the post opened, I refilled my van's running water reservoir and calibrated my apple juice bottle so I can monitor my nocturnal visits to the apple juice bottle
- I modified my ordering XLS spreadsheet to figure out how many of each T-Shirt size to put in my big T-Shirt box and still have space for the other stuff I carry in it.
- When I tried to resolve my checking account for April, it turned out to be $9,000 off. Now how does that happen? Nothing obvious.
- Got to bed at 9:59 :)

Fri May 20 = My shipment of Albums was delivered to the post at 10:36 this morning. However, Custom USB pre-loaded all my Album #2s with the Album #3 files. Since I needed the albums immediately, I reformatted and loaded the Album #2 files on 12 of the new drives. Custom USB is giving me a 20% credit for their mistake. That makes me feel better, but I would rather not have to reload all the albums. Fortunately I can load them 6 at a time.
- Jason, the VFW Post 5897 in Lavonia, GA commander was awesome. He set up the hall for a comedy club and found people to do a screen and video projector hooked to their good PA system.
- I got a couple of new fans before the show and sold some a T-Shirt and and my last old Album #2.

- The 58 minute show went pretty well although the audience members were not laughers. I am getting used to that at some of the veterans' posts. Also, I need to work on not getting so distracted when people are not listening for various reasons during a show. I tend to lose my train of thought. Maybe focusing on people who ARE listening would help.
- I got everything packed up and loaded up and parked where there was power and would be morning shade. One new thing to pack was a box of spare T-Shirts. It is a little tight but I did find a place for it but no longer have a good place for my van's sun shields. I should sell enough T-Shirts soon and not need that box.
- Got to bed at 10:51

Sat May 21 = Since I had power and Internet in my van parked back of the post, I set up my van office for a couple of hours and took care of some emails for selling
Dahlia
my Phoenix rental house located on Dahlia Drive
and a writer for me. I also uploaded the files from last night's show and backed up video recordings from seven of my past shows. The whole operation took about five hours :(
- While I was at it, I watched a wasp exploring around in the front of my van. When he decided to explore around me, I ended his capers with my fly swatter... I think. I never did find where his carcus landed.
- In the afternoon I took the hour drive from Lavonia to the VFW Post 7720; in Cornelia the Crossing Shopping Center.
- Since it was closed I went to the local Planet Fitness for a brief hevy legs workout.
- Then on to the Chick Fil-A for their side salad and Internet. In addition to updatng ths blog I ordered a fancy 2 x 6 foot banner to hang on my merch table or above it. I engineered it to fold so it can announce either Arizona Lou Merchandise or just Arizona Lou.
- Last stop was to the nearby Walmart for some shopping and to spend the night in their parking lo. It was quiet and had shade in the morning until about noon.
- Got to bed at 10:56

Sun May 22 = The audience of 19 at the VFW Post 7720 enjoyed my 53-minute show tonight. What a group!
- I sold five 5-Shirts and got a new fan - only the second one who is older than me:
Roger Keebaugh (10 months older than Lou); VFW Post 7720 Cornelia, GA 5/22/22

- Got to bed at 10:09 in the Cornella Walmart. My
LiFeMnPO
my van's Lithium/Iron/Manganese/Phosphate/Oxygen house battery
didn't quite make it through the warm night running my refrigerator but the refrigerator's temperature never got too high.

Mon May 23 = Drove all the way down to the little town of Macclenny, FL. On the way I stopped by the Valdosta Office Depot to make more Show Slips.
- Another car would have run right into me if I had not dodged him. Thankfully there was no car to my left. I was driving n the center of three lanes and he had just merged from a freeway entry then darted into my lane without looking. I would guess we were less than a foot.
- Mcclenny library's Internet did not work and the librarians there did not know much about it. The person in the know was the administrator who changes the password frequently, would be there tomorrow. Sounds like kind of a control freek to me.
- Then I went to the Moose Lodge #2412, met the nice people there and arranged to stay in their Camping Spot #5 where I'll have 30A power.
- Then to a laundramat to put up a poster that I scarfed from the lodge and to Walmart for some meat and to update this blog.
- Moose Lodges accross the country frequently have camper spots. They put me up in their camper spot number five for the night where I had power and if I had needed it, water.
- I was all set to get to bed about 10:30 when I decided to listen to some of a Leo LaPorte show during my bedtime routine. Of course, as a reslult, I had to look up on my cell phone, things he mentioned like Michlan's new invention, the the Tweel.
Tweel
- Got to bed at 11:34

Tue May 24 = This morning's project was to go to Baker Business Center here in Macclenny to get 12 letter-sized posters printed.
- Next, at the Macclenny Library, I uploaded all five files from Sunday's show recordings. For a change, the library's Internet worked so I updated my website etc.
- In the afternoon I put up ten of the posters at various stores and restaurants.
- I spent most of the evening in my office (a corner of the lodge) trying to locate a recording on my Old Shark Dash Cam of the guy who almost ran into me yesterday. There were no recent recordings and I finally figured out that the micro SD card was defective. It could not even be formatted, either with the camera or with my computer.
dash cam dash camera
- Got to bed at 9:49 :) in a good spot with power and morning shade west of their lodge.

Wed May 25 = This morning I met Garry, the Exaulted Ruller at the Moose Lodge 2412 here in 150 S Lowder St; Macclenny, FL, got the room all set up for tomorrow night, my merch table and cameras all set up near outlets without using any extension cords. That will simplify packing up tomorrow after the show.
- This is the first time I used my new Merch Banner (in Moose Lodge 2412 in Mcclenny, FL):
Merch Banner
- It was not a good wifi day. I could not get on this morning at the lodge, the library shuts its wifi off 30 minutes before closing and the laundromat wifi was hardly usable. After doing my laundry I went next door to a Subway and could not make a connection with their wifi. Sitting there in Subway I finally was able to update my website using the laundromat's wifi that was stronger for me than in the laundromat.
- I washed about everything I had, including my comedy shirts, shorts and pants, as well as various towels etc.
- In the evening I went back to the lodge, made an announcement during their Karaoke and sold seven T-Shirts... the day before my show there! Setting up the merch table ahead paid off.
- Got to bed at 10:21 in the good spot west of their lodge.

Thu May 26 = I spent about five hours at the library before heading back up to the Lodge for tonight's show. My show is the only thing scheduled at the lodge for tonight, so I'll be able to go as long as I like. We'll see how that works out.
- At the library I phoned some prospective realtors for selling
Dahlia
my Phoenix rental house located on Dahlia Drive
. I also planned my route for tomorrow, including a Shared Branch credit union to deposit my T-Shirt cash.
- We had a good show!
- Got to bed at 10:56 west of their building, with power.

Fri May 27 = Driving to Lithia Springs was fraught with slow traffic so I did not have time to stop by a Shared Branch credit union to deposit my T-Shirt cash. I arrived at the Amvets Post 118 in Lithia Springs only in time to help Eddie, the commander, set up the room for comedy, and to set up my merch table and the comedian cameras.
- It was one of the best shows I did with a bar in the room. Most of the people came over to the area we had set up for comedy. They enjoyed the show and interacted just the right amount to make it fun for everyone. I did not sell anything but got about $100 in donations for Alzheimer's research and nine new fans.
- Out in my van, after the show I was compulsive about listening to my audio recording of the show so got to bed late.
- Got to bed at 11:46 :(

Sat May 28 = On the way to Carrollton (in northern Georgia) for tonight's show at Amvets Post 99, I stopped by the Office Max in Douglasville where Brandon Thomas redid all the gromets on my banner. The Office Max at Valdosta (in southern Georgia) where I had the banner made had not put in the gromets although I had paid for them. When they DID put them in while I waited, the gromets were lose. They evidently used the wrong gromets for their machine. At last night's show some of the gromets fell apart.
- The show tonight was awesome with just the right amount of audience interaction. Some of the audience of 20 were laughing so hard they were crying.
- Got to bed at 11:55 with post power and mostly under their canopy out back.

Sun May 29 = This morning I did a couple of things that I don't do ofter. I spread my comforter out on a clean sidewalk at the post and refolded it so it fits my van better. Later in the day I siphoned the condinsed water out of the bottom of my refrigerator. I got away from my overnight parking spot after lunch in my van and headed on east.
- I went on a wild goose chase, really wild, looking for a Shared Branch ATM that would accept deposits. I need to get rid of the the cash I have collected for my merch, tips and donations over the last several shows. Out of three different shared branch credit unions in three different cities, I found one that accepted my cash, but then gave notice that it could not complete my transaction and gave me my cash back.
- I updated my webste in the Evans (north Aususta), GA Walmart on top of a trash can, thank you.
- Got to bed at 10:22 in the Walmart parking lot - a good quiet night with morning shade. I went to bed with my ceiling fan on high for the first time this trip. The minimum temperature in my van for the night was 80° F... the highest minimum yet.

Mon May 30 = I drove to Wilmington, NC, where I scoped out the Walmart where I intend to spend the night (their Subway has no accessible electrical outlets) and hung out at a nearby Chick Fil-A where I did office stuff, including adding these new fans:
