Fri Apr 1 = I got up at 6:30 this morning to pee and stayed up to make some booking phone calls... which I hate doing. During the day, I did make contact with enough people to make me feel better, since they were interested in my show. I took a couple naps later in the day, attempting to catch up on the missed sleep.
- Inspired by Jimmy Fallon's Tonight show, I checked out Jim Jefferies's comedy tour tour w 18 shows between April 8th and Nov 19 this year.
- I washed washed the inside of all my van windows before today's trip
- For the trip, I decided to conserve energy by skipping two bargain stops and only stopping by LA Fitness for a brief slow heavy legs+ workout and by Winco for my last pre-tour grocery shopping. The main thing I got at Winco was nuts for my entire tour (through the first part of August).
- Back at home I got the all the nuts and non-nuts organized into two paper grocery bags for the passenger foot area of my van.
- This evening, inspired by Sam Abuelsamid on the Leo Laporte Show, I checked out the new Lucid Air EV. The car looks to be full of fun and enovations... and only about $160k, but goes to 0-60 in about 2.6 seconds.
- Got to bed at 10:15

Sat Apr 2 = Throw in a desaster with laundry and you get today. The washing machine drain hose came out of it's pipe and spewed water all over the laundry room floor behind the washer and the drier and into some of the hall carpet. Fortunately I was there to shut it off as soon as I noticed. I always have my wet/dry shop vac ready to go so immediately started sucking up the water. I'll keep my Vornado fan blowing for the next day or so to dry everything out.
- I have been experiencing some middle back pain on my right side when in bed. I generally sleep on my back. Sleeping on my right side for a couple of hours did not help a lot. I went out to sleep in my van for a while and the situation improved with a pillow under my knees. Then back in my regular bed, I used a doubled body pillow under my knees and seemed to do better.
- Before lunch I researched knee-elevation pillows. Only the Kneezup was close to what I needed, but not available before I leave.
- After washing my last load of laundry, I went to my nearby Goodwill and found four suitable pillows. The one I picked is just about perfect, and cost $3.49.
- Got to bed at 9:51 and came up with the briliant idea of icing my middle back where it is painful. It helped some and I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier.

Sun Apr 3 = This morning, trying to not deteriorate and also trying not to overdo it, here at home, I did a brief light fast full-body workout followed by a mild 2-minute exercycle ride with the drag set only on #4.
- I sent out electronic publicity kits to the eight veterans' posts who had the courtesy to respond about my June show. I consider four others, two VFWs, an America Legion and an Elk's Lodge, as slackers. I know they're busy, but one would think they could answer ther phone or their email.
- Just before lunch I lazied on the couch, finished all my past recordings of Jimmy Fallon's monologues and did a little unofficial napping. My back did better, since I was not laying flat.
- This afternoon I watched the Mac Studio teardown. It is the Apple computer with the new M1 Ulita chip. Its awesome power, quiet high-tech cooling and efficiency are tempting me for my next computer since I do so much video editing.

- The audience at CB Live enjoyed my new Alzheimer's routine and I almost reached my goals of six laughs per minute and laughing 30% of the time... not too bad since it was only my second time doing the routine and my first time videoing it. I have a few tweaks in mind to tighten it up a little.

- Got to bed at 10:02

Mon Apr 4 = I may have fixed the LG #1 phone I use as a wide angle camera for videoing my comedy shows. The last couple shows, it did not operate and, last night would not charge or turn on. This morning I used a little USB device to measure the phone's power draw. Removing the phone's battery, burnishing the contacts and reinstalling showed it at 100% power, and the phone now works :)
- Today I got most of the comedy things packed in my van for leaving on tour Wednesday.
- Instead of going to bed on time, I responded to an email from Curtis "CR" Rosemond of Final Frontier Tours for Spaceport America and bought tickets for their Friday morning tour.
- Got to bed at 11:08, icing my back. Had a pretty good night's sleep, only getting up once to pee (very rare recently) with a maximum sleep of 5:55!

Tue Apr 5 = First thing after breakfast I phoned Curtis at Rick Bronson's SpacePort America in New Mexico about my purchase of a tour ticket for Friday.
- My yard here surely looks good; front and back. Lance Tyner's Arizona Ground Control crew did an excellent job yesterday morning. This morning I buried two drip feeder lines that were exposed above the granite in the front yard.
- Here's where I'll be heading, starting tomorrow, including some overnight parking locations thanks to Camping World in Tucson, AZ and Walmart in Las Cruces, NM:
map
- This evening I made breakfast and lunch for tomorrow so I won't have to worry about digging into my van stores.
- It took me 17 minutes for my monthly Blog roll-over, because I accidentally deleted the navigation at the bottom of one of the pages.
- Got to bed at 9:58 icing R back, lower, middle & upper

Wed Apr 6 = This morning I received, by UPS Overnight Air, a box with one of my Album 3s in it. The original package UPS lost contained 70 of 'em. Guess 69 of them are gone with the wind. At least UPS tried to do the right thing with what they found.
- This morning to top off my personal readiness, I treated myself to a
poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
, a warm bath (courtesy of my water heater's pilot light) and a pedicure.
- I overlooked one critical thing as I left home in time to stop by Fry's Food for a couple things, stop by a library and also a gym in Tucson, all before the Open Mic at The Screening Room there in Tucson.
- I was reminded of my oversight with flashing lights in my rear view mirror. The Phoenix Police Officer pointed out that my vehicle registration was two years out of date. What a surprise to me. I tried to appear calm as I searched my van documents for the registration and proof of insurance, to no avail.
- Fortunately I was only a couple miles from home, so turned around, went back home, moved back into my office and tried to correct the situation. The AZMVD website was not working with my computer on any browsers, but I was able to do the whole thing on my phone.
- I emailed myself the receipt and a copy of my proof of insurance, printed them out and left in time to get to the The Screening Room by show time, if I did not stop to eat, which of course I did not do.
- When the place opened I phoned them from north of Tucson and they gracously put me on the list - number 14.
- It was a typical open mic with a few comedians for an audience. They were attentive, but did not laugh too much. I did some of my beginning show stuff and included some Alzheimer's. I sold one T-Shirt. I had a steak salad there at about 9pm.
- Parking in the parking garage only cost me $3. A pleasant surprise.
- I topped off the evening with a couple pieces of bread and a banana before heading to bed in the Tucson Camp World parking lot.
- Got to bed at 10:57 for a pretty good night's rest with only a towel over my feet to begin with. By morning I used the whole towel, a baby comforter over my feet and a windbreaker on top of the towel.

Thu Apr 7 = Today I drove to Las Cruses, NM and spent about three hours in a public library.
- By the time I went out to my van for supper, I was shivering and it felt good to be in a warm place.
- Got to bed at 9:48 in a Las Cruses Walmart parking lot , to rise relatively early for my Spaceport America tour tomorrow morning

Fri Apr 8 = What a neat tour. We met Final Frontier Tours at the Las Cruses Visitor's Center.
- Christopher, the tour operator is a slight, soft-spoken, seemingly timid at times man, but evidently a good businessman who started Final Frontier Tours to specifically conduct at least three Space Port America tours a week.
Tour Operator
- His friend and tour guide was a big, boisterous type with a booming voice. A perfect compliment for Christopher.
Tour Operator
- This is the happy tour group in front of the headquarters. It was erected with a bladder under it to give it its shape. You can see the swooped control room roof to the right.
Tour Operator
- Inside the first person to greet you is the receptionist.
Tour Operator
- Then up to mission control. The control room is small because most of the control is done by computers.
Tour Operator
- Back outside, it is difficult to fathom this 110,152 square foot hanger that is large enough to hold the double-fuselage jet launch craft.
Tour Operator
- The fire department did not have a whole lot to do, except to impress us visitors.
Tour Operator
- I'm glad I rode their Factoid... once. It occomodates two but since I rode by myself I got to experience about double the G's; about three G's.

- Here is the spacecraft itself. Well, not really. This is an earlier test model.
Tour Operator
- As I said above, I rode in one of Spaceport American's training devices, was tossed around in all sorts of directions, including upside down, and experienced 3-Gs. I'm glad I did it, but don't want to do it again. I was very slightly queasy for a couple hours.
- A highlight was seeing their 100,000 square-foot hanger.
- The pictures and video were added in November.
- It took about an hour to drive to El Paso, TX where I picked up a new water pump from Granger there for my van's runing water system. The old pump still runs but pumps no water because the impeller is lose on the shaft.
- For tonight's show. I was dissippointed in their pre-show communication publicity efforts. In spite of that we had an audience of 23 who enjoyed the show. I sold five 5-shirts so there is now room in my merch box for my clam-shell clipboard. I also got three new fans, coming to my Fans web page.
- Got to bed at 10:36 on a quiet street to the west of the post. Thanks, guys!

Sat Apr 9 = The main thing today was a 7:00pm show at American Legion Post 58; 4724 Vulcan Ave; El Paso, TX 79904 -
- The audience of 18 did a lot of laughing for my 65-minute show.
- Got to bed at 11:09 under the post's rear canopy with my refrigerator plugged in to 110v. It was windy all night with empty beer cans rolling around under my van most of the night.

Sun Apr 10 = Earlier in the day I hung out in my office in the post's hall after I got my merch and stuff set up.
- The show was the best yet for the tour. With only 17 audience members, we were able to personalize it more. They said the low turnout was due to it being a Sunday show. I sold ten T shirts.
- Since the show started at 6pm, I had time to catch up on my blog etc. after the show.
- For the first time this tour, I had to pay up the $5 I always offer anyone who finds something I accidently leave behind. It was the little Alcatel tablet computer I used for the video segment of my show.
- Got to bed at 11:31, under a canopy with my refrigerator plugged into 110v, after uploading and backing up all the video files from the show.

Mon Apr 11 = Today was mostly driving, with a stop by the gate of the Blue Origin Launch Site One. The nice security lady informed me that no visitors were allowed, but I could find a phone number on their website and maybe arrange something. Of course I have been trying to arrange something since January 1st, 2022 by phone and emails
- Then down to the Vah Horn, TX Library, to work on my new fans photos for a couple hours since I am getting behind on them. I succeeded in confusing myself with a lot of photos and names from my last last four stops. I did work out a system to keep things more manageable... in the future.
- Got to bed at 10:13 in the Fort Stockton TX Walmart parking lot beside a giant motorhome that provided some shade in the morning. The owner, Deryle Jensen, has RV Wheelator for a business and this neat logo, designed for him by Tucson T-Shirt.
map

Tue Apr 12 = Deryle Jenson moved his motorhome and invited me to park in its shade, which I did. It was perfect for me making new Announcement Slips for my next nine shows. These slips will take me all the way to my second Chattanooga, TN appearance. on April 29th.
- I drove on to San Antonio and to a Staples to print out the new Announcement Slips. None of their self-service machines recognized my 128 GB fob so I had to put the Announcement files on a 2 GB USB fob. Only one of their self-service machines recognized it. That, and that their copies are more expensive than Office Depot was the bad news. The good news is they didn't charge me for my mistakes.
- Then on to the Alamo American Legion Post #2 where I will be performing on Friday. A small group was in the middle of a band practice. They are letting me park in their parking lot where I will have shade in the morning - not an issue tonight since it is forecast to be overcast.
- This was the warmest night yet with a forecast low of 72° F. My van started out at 87° F and got down to 82 degrees by morning. I had a good night's sleep, starting with my ceiling fan on low and ending up with only my giant towel.
- Got to bed at 9:36, anticipating a possible open mic tomorrow night.

Wed Apr 13 = I got a phone call from my
Dahlia
my Phoenix rental house located on Dahlia Drive
landscaper that the old Hunter irrigation controller is malfunctioning. He will install a new Irritrol RainDial. Hopefully it will solve some of the Dahlia lawn problems.
- This afternoon I came up with the hair-brain idea to check out the open mics in Austin. I ended up driving, almost 2 hours in some slow traffic, to an 8 pm variety open mic at Opa! - my first time there but probably my sixth time doing comedy in Austin. Since I was running close on time, I took in no T-Shirts. What a supportive, laughing crowd of 51! Zachary, the host, gave me my five minutes at 8:40 between musical numbers so I could head to my next open mic...
- The Creek and the Cave for my tour debut there for their stand up comedy open mic show. Another fun crowd of 26. I even sold a T-Shirt. Since the show started at 10pm, I had to leave before the end to get some sleep.
- Got to bed at 12:03 at an Austin Walmart with perfect shade in the morning.

Thu Apr 14 = While at an Austin library, I got a phone call from the Tybee Island, GA American Legion post that they had received a laminated cardboard poster (which I never order) for my show at the Jacksonville post. I phoned Jacksonville and they said they hadn't received their publicity kit.
- It took a 30.5 minute phone call to office Depot's rep in the Philippines to accomplish nothing, although she tried to be helpful.
- Then on to tonight's open mics. Nicole at The Creek and the Cave gave me some bum information yesterday when she told me there was a 6pm open mic this evening. It was preempted by another event, but the door man told me about other open mics (thank you)!
- On the sidewalk out front I sold a T-Shirt then headed out to The Volstead Lounge.
- I ended up doing a three-minute set at The Volstead Lounge there in Austin. Alex Spears was the host. Since the show started at 7:30, I was able to stay for the entire show. Sold no T-Shirts.
- Got to bed at 11:00 at the same-as-last night Austin Walmart with perfect shade in the morning.

Fri Apr 15 = It was like the whole world was traveling between Austin and San Antonio. This morning's big project was getting down to San Antonio.
- I stopped by an LA Fitness for a nine-minute heavy slow legs workout
- Tonight's comedy show was at the Alamo American Legion Post#2 in San Antonio.
- Every show I learn something. Tonight it was dealing with the usual challenge of getting people to sit at the front. Tonight there were a number who were determined to sit at the back of the large hall. Next time we'll put the chairs upside down on top of all the tables but the first two rows.
- It was a very supportive audience of 53, at least at first. Sold five T-Shirts and got some donations.
- Got to bed at 11:07 under the post's canopy, Thank you, American Legion Alamo Post 2.

Sat Apr 16 = I gave up on gyms this morning. I passed up a Planet Fitness on my way to a Gold's Gym near my destination, according to my Garmin GPS. The Gold's gym was closed with all their equipment moved out. On to a nearby YMCA. Although they still had the YMCA signs outside I was informed that it was no longer a Y, but an NBA Hoops (basketball).
- Strike three for my Garmin GPS, was navigating to the nearby Moly Pruitt Library. Garmin's route took me to the wrong street with locked gates. Google Maps on my cell phone finally got me to the library.
- What a mess, trying to pay my Capital One and Citibank credit cards. Their web pages were not loading. Paying my other cards went rather smoothly.
- We had an interesting show tonight. Canela, a neat band of 10 older members, headed up by Margie and her brother Alex, was scheduled to follow my comedy show. Various people at the post had given us conflicting and overlapping times for our respective performances. We were flexible and I did about 50 minutes of comedy at 6pm, the time advertised on the posters and on my website. The audience of about 50 enoyed both shows. I forgot to record even the audio of my show or to count the audience members. I sold five T-Shirts giving a total of 776 so far.
- Got to bed at 10:00 at the Kyle, TX Walmart on the way to my next show in Willford, Arkansas.

Sun Apr 17 = Today was mostly travel with a stop at Anytime Fitness in Hillsboro, TX for a workout and some web work.
- Got to bed at 10:52 at the Texarkana Walmart with perfect morning shade, courtesy of their building.

Mon Apr 18 = Another travel day with stops along the way. The lady at the Planet fitness I went to this morning would not let me work out because I was not a Black Card member, but did offer to sign me up to pay monthly for the privilage.
- I got gas at a Valero in Hope Arkansas.
- Benton AR is a neat little town. All within a few blocks are a Alcoa FCU (shared branch where I deposited some T-Shirt cash), a Goodwill, a Harbor Freight and a Planet Fitness (where I did my
poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
two days early because, starting tomorrow, I will be doing, for the first time, five shows on five consecutive nights, in five different cities and probably won't have time for anything but eating, sleeping, driving, performing and uploading my recordings): - I topped off my afternoon until supper time at the Saline County Library, a little up the road. I ended the day by driving about an hour, up to the Cabot AR Walmart. I got there a little after 7, so hung out in my van updating my checking account, my van's mileage record, this blog and getting a start on resolving my checking account.
- In spite of using my computer, I should have plenty of energy from my
LiFeMnPO
my van's Lithium/Iron/Manganese/Phosphate/Oxygen house battery
for my refrigerator tonight because of the charge from today's driving and a forecast low tonight of 41 degrees.
- I topped the evening off before going to bed with a Walmart visit for my final pit stop and to buy some sweet pickle relish.
- Got to bed at 10:05 for my coldest night yet: Cabot Arkansas with a forecast low of 41. The low in my van was 52° F. I was slightly cool, but OK with one layer of comforter, a towel and a baby comforter on my feet.

Tue Apr 19 = This afternoon I made it to the Willford Library for a couple of hours, then on to the American Legion Post 336, a couple of doors away. Willford has a population of about 75.
- Curtis Bancroft at the post helped me rearrange the room to a comedy club.
- I set a record in starting a show... late. At 7pm when it was scheduled to begin there was only one person for an audience, Curtis. The show finally started at 7:40 with a total audience count of 16. Only four stayed for the entire show.
- Got to bed at 11:21 under the post's canopy

Wed Apr 20 = Driving form Willford to Batesville was interesting. The highways were well marked, but narrow. I measured the Highway 58 lanes at 7' 7.5"! The lanes were so narrow they confused my van's lane departure warning system.
- I arrived at the VFW Post 4501 in Batesville around noon - my second show there. Curtis Matheny helped me set up for the show.
- I got my five files from last night uploaded and this blog updated.
- We started the show on time at 7:00 with music on my PA system via bluetooth from an old phone of mine, followed by their Chaplin, Larry Whipple opening for me with 14 minutes of material. It was his first time trying stand up comedy :)
- I followed with my 74 minutes, including a TV segment for an audience of 11. The post was not too much into stand up comedy. By the end of the show, with smoke breaks and all, the audience consisted of only the commander and the chaplin.
- Got to bed at 11:11, parked back of the post, for a mostly rainy night.

Thu Apr 21 = Before leaving Batesville, I took my van through a touchless automatic car wash.
- It was a long drive from Batesville, AR to New Boston, TX.
- Good comedy show tonight with a supportive audience. VFW Post 8845 had their Thursday pool tournament scheduled at the same time. In between their pool sets, audience members drifted in and out. It was a younger audience. There was only one audience member over 45.
- We scheduled for the same time next year, an hour earlier to not conflict with the pool.
- Got to bed at 11:34

Fri Apr 22 = Another long drive from New Boston, TX to Fort Smith AR, but a good show. Although there were only 14 for an audience the post was very supportive. It was an older audience tonight. There was only one audience member under 45. I sold a number of T-shirts and got some additions to my Fans web page.
- Got to bed at 11:55

Sat Apr 23 = The Heber Springs American Legion Post 64 is one of the largest, one of the most supportive of me... but way out in the tulies.
- Becky and her husband helped rearrange their hall for comedy.
- 16 people plunked down $5 to see me. We had fun.
- Got to bed at 10:47 parked in front of the post. Had a pretty good and quiet night with only 2.4 pees.

Sun Apr 24 = It was a good idea, but did not work. Since it takes about a half hour to transfer the video files from the LG-3 cell phones I use for my wide angle cameras, I thought I'd start the process in my van and let it run while driving. All the USB connections and power supplies were not dependable for the transfer, so after setting everything up I packed it all away and chalked it up to experience.
- I hit the road, leaving Heber Springs, AR about 10am. I stopped by an Office Depot and bought two clear clipboards (rather expensive). I wanted one that was a transparent color like orange but they had none.
- I drove down to the Florence Arkansas Anytime Fitness to email the Phoenix court about my van's registration, take care of some business, update this blog and to get in a little workout.
- Then on south Magee, MS for the night.
- Got to bed at 10:17 at the Magee Walmart.

Mon Apr 25 = This morning I drove from Magee to Gulfport.
- This afternoon at Gulfport's Orange Grove Library I caught up on my fans web page by adding these 12.

- This morning I phoned the court back in Phoenix about the proof of my van's regiatration I emailed them yesterday. Their computer system was down and they could not help me. My court date is Wednesday. Things are running a little tight to suit me.
- A big project was signing documents for the three lots I am selling to Travis and Donna Brogdon and documents for my subdivision of 10 acres into five lots. The notary met me here at the library.
- I went to two Walmarts and they did not have fat free cheese slices or Hebrew National 97% fat free beef franks.
- I stopped by the American Legion Post 119 here in Gulfport where I did a show last year and invited them (3 people there) to this Wednesday's show at the VFW.
- Got to bed at 9:53 beside the Gulfport VFW Post 4526 where there will be shade in the morning :)

Tue Apr 26 = Today was a Gulfport Public Library in downtown gulfport day.
- I got about six publicity kits ordered from Office Depot. Due to a bug on their website it did not accept the delivery address for my first order. It took me 1:20 (mostly on the phone to their customer service in Guinea) to get it straightened out. I got the rest of the posters ordered in about :17 minutes each.
- After the library closed at 6:00 and after supper, I drove down to the beach on the gulf and went into the water, up to my ankles, just to say I went into the Gulf of Mexico this trip.
- Got to bed at 10:23 beside the Gulfport VFW Post 4526 where there will be shade in the morning :)

Wed Apr 27 = Busy day:
- After breakfast I ran my van through the nearby touchless car wash. The owner treats me well, although his payment system is kind of quirky.
- I drove about 7 miles to fill up with cheap gas at $3.58/gal.
- I got my oil changed at Take 5... their cheapest (which meets my warranty specs), which cost $93.33!
- The Orange Grove Library was my next stop, to take care of my website some comedy business.
- Then about 6 miles down to the gulf for a beach sun/run.
- Then up to Planet Fitness to change from shorts and sandals into my comedy outfit.
- Then to Post 4526 for the show. I messed up on the time of the show, expecting it to be at 5 when it was scheduled at 7. We started it about 6:30 after their monthly meeting. Since the room was set up for their meeting the nine audence members did not sit close together and did not laugh too much. I have resolved myself, since I am introducing people to comedy to expect that. If they laugh, that will be icing on my cake. I am confident that I have good material. Of course I keep tweaking and improving it.
- Before hitting the hay, I set my van and Garmin GPSs for Friday's show VFW Post#4848; 2402 Amnicola Hwy; Chattanooga, TN 37406 -
- Got to bed at 10:05 beside the Gulfport VFW Post 4526 where there will be shade in the morning

Thu Apr 28 = I had a better driving day than I expected after going to Gulfport’s Orange Grove Library to take care of a booking email and to update my blog for yesterday.
- Here's a photo I took with my cell phone; an experiment in correcting verticals when looking up. It worked! library
- By 8pm I I made it 452 miles (Google called it a 6-hour drive) all the way up to Chattanooga’s VFW Post 4848 where they welcomed me. They expect a good turnout for my show tomorrow evening.
- With the help of some of the young vets, I stupidly got my comedy stuff unloaded from my van and into the post’s hall. Stupid because it included my computer bag and computer. It wasn’t until I was in bed and the post was all locked up that I realized I would not be able to use my computer until the post opened after 3:30 tomorrow afternoon :(
- Got to bed parked behind the post at 10:39

Fri Apr 29 = I had to change my plans for the day with my computer locked safely away in the post. First thing I went to Office Depot to make 60 more show Announcement slips on yellow through my 5/14/22 show in Jacksonville, FL and to cut up 60 more show Announcement slips I had already printed 6-up on white through tonight, 4/29/22 in Chattanooga, TN.
- Planet Fitness was my next stop for a brief heavy slow arms workout.
- Then to Chattanooga's Avondale Branch Library to type this blog on a library computer. I saved my work on a thumb drive so I can efficiently upload it to my website when I get possession of my computer, which I did before tonight's show.
- Things did not go as planned before the show but we had a good one anyway. Roy Ware, the post commander, was helping a veteran somewhere and was unable to meet me at the post at 3:30 as planned. A couple guys helped me set up the hall for comedy. Chris, The sound guy, did not get there until about 7:30 for the 7:00 show. By the time the PA system was working, we started the show at 7:48. Since it started late, we had to cut the show a little short (after an hour and six minutes) for the post's weekly Karaoke.
- This show was the first time I did a specific fundraiser segment at a post. In exchange for the audience raising $400 for Jordan Asher's needed third kidney transplant, I took off my shirt and showed off what little physique I have. That was awesome. Not the physique, but the $400. Here's Jordan with me last year.
Fans
- For the show, we had lots of fun interaction from the audience of 20. I sold two T-shirts, two albums, got four new fans and, of course raised $400 for Jordan.

- Got to bed at 11:54 in a parking lot north of the post where I had shade until about 11am.

Sat Apr 30 = I headed to the American Legion Post 70 by Legion Lake outside of VillaRica, GA - one of the most isolated yet.
- Since no one was there, I drove about 11 miles to a Chic Fil-A where I got a cob salad and spent several hours uploading last night's video files, doing this blog and some web stuff.
- I got back at the post at 6pm to set up for the 7pm show.
- The 50 audience members were kinda of spread out, but attentative laughed a lot. They really liked it when I made fun of individuals' reactions to me and my jokes. I'll try adding more of that to my comedy show. There was no stage and some pillars down the center of the room, so I did most of my show away from the performance area, in front of one of the pillars where everyone could see me.
- I got two more fans, sold six T-shirts, raised $85 for Alzheimer's research and received a generous tip that will help pay for some gas and publicity kits.
