Wed Dec 1 = Today was the big shopping day, stopping by 99¢ Only and finding no over-ripe bananas for 25¢ a pound, LA Fitness for a short heavy legs workout, Fry's for blackberries with a rain check and coupon and Winco for the balance of my grocery shopping. On the way home I stopped by the Billers' house to leave them payment for taking care of my yard through February.
- I signed up for next week's open mic at Improv Mania. For tomorrow's open mic they had about 100 comedians signing up.
- Got to bed at 10:06 with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Thu Dec 2 = During last night's short pee-JUGGLING sessions I tried, with limited success, looking straight ahead rather than dividing my attention between where the balls are up in the air and on my hands when catching the balls.
- Booked more shows today.
- This afternoon I Saw Gary Peterson, my dentist, probably for the final time because I am moving to the CIGNA DHMO plan and should save several hundred dollars in the process. I would unequivocally recommend his Brilliant Smiles practice to anyone. He and I discussed my move do a DHMO. He supported it, told me some of the differences with DHMOs and gave me some good ideas for utilizing their services. What a guy!
- On the way home I stopped by Anytime Fitness for a short heavy arms workout, minus the inverted shrug balancing which I did here at home because they don't have a suitable dip stand.
- I took a long nap in anticipation of being out late doing comedy.
- At JP's Comedy Club in Gilbert, as I was taking the stage for my set, I accidentally shut off my voice recorder because I didn't have it on HOLD... the first time this happened, recording over 1,200 shows.
- Got to bed at 11:28
Fri Dec 3 = For JUGGLING I started trying, after I throw a ball, moving that hand out to where I expect the next ball for that hand to land. It is a challenge thinking of all the things fast enough and I start doing some wild throws.
- Booked more tour shows for May next year in Florida and Georgia.
- I spent some time today, unsuccessfully, trying to figure out how to upload files to my new HostGator web hosting account.
- Got to bed at :) with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Sat Dec 4 = The Self family that did not have COVID got together Kim and Andy's (my niece's) for a Thanksgiving/Christmas celebration. All the grand cousins have so much fun. We all sat in a big circle out in the back yard for the gift exchange.
- While at their house I sneaked off to their office to make several booking phone calls and booked AMVETS in Carrollton, GA in May :)
- Back home I took a nap and tried to make some more booking phone calls, without getting through
- This evening at the nearby CB Live Comedy Club I saw Josh Noland (Host), my friend Bryan Ricci (Opener) and Greg Fitzsimmons (headliner). All were very good.
- On the way home I stopped by the Mountainside Fitness gym for a short light fast legs workout.
- Got to bed at 10:04 and got up at 7:34 needing to pee, before Alexa's 7:47 alarm
Sun Dec 5 = This was new website day. I got the whole thing uploaded, but it was slow. Since HostGator hasn't yet explained how to use FTP, I had to go through their cPanel which has a 500 MB file. My website is on the Internet, but not yet active, as GoDaddy is currently my active host. The next trick was to find a URL so I can check out my HostGator website with a browser. Three hours on the phone and on live chats has not done the trick.
- As you might expect, I made a couple of booking phone calls to Georgia.
- For JUGGLING tonight, I am going to try and just relax while I toss my balls.
- Got to bed at 10:12 with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Mon Dec 6 = I finally got a working URL with which to access my HostGator website... with a big problem. The information and the menu at the top of each page does not show up because they have a problem with SSI files. Two more chat sessions did not fix it. The SSI (Server Side Include) fines, containing the key navigation information for every web page, do not get included, so no menus etc.
- At solar noon I lay in the sun for 20 minutes. The temperature was in the middle 60's. It wasn't warm enough for me to need my water spray bottle.
- This evening I added some veterans post to my Bookings spreadsheet. I am going to try setting it up with the basic post contact information before my initial phone call. It will be interesting to see if it is helpful and saves time or if it is a waste of time.
- After supper I did a short light fast arms workout here in my home gym.
- The left button on my Logitech MX Anywhere 2 Mouse has started to get a little flaky, dropping or double clicking things as I try to drag them etc. I researched Logitech's version 3 and think I'll stick with the 2. I will give it another day or so to see if using more pressure on the click button makes it behave.
- Got to bed at 10:02 with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Tue Dec 7 = I never got outside today, but stayed in, mostly doing bookings, but some working on my website. Much of the website work was experimenting with various file extensions to use with SSI directives. Everything ended up working correctly, but I ended up with my head spinning because things weren't working like I thought they should.
- Instead of going out to a gym I did a short light fast arms workout here in my home gym.
- Got to bed at 9:59 :) with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47. That didn't work out so well...
Wed Dec 8 = One of the post managers in Georga wanted me to phone between 8 and 9 (6 and 7 my time), so when I got up to pee at 6:38 I decided to make the phone call. Of course she did not answer so I decided to try again after fixing and eating breakfast. When I finally got to talk to her, she explained that she would have to present it to the board and get back to me. Just one of the frustrations of being my booking agent.
- Another frustration is
Dahlia
my Phoenix rental house located on Dahlia Drive
: trying to get a dependable landscaper. I drove down there to meet Antonio, who never showed to give me an estimate. Both the tenant and I had planned on him. I phoned him and he blamed it on a broken GPS. Said he'd be there tomorrow morning, so the tenant and I are planning accordingly.
- This evening I got some things ready for spending 2 hours waiting for the lady I'll be taking to see her doctor tomorrow morning. That is how long she expects it to take.
- Got to bed at 9:41, trying to make up some for lost sleep last night.
Thu Dec 9 = This morning I took Wanda to her eye doctor under the auspices of
, which took three hours due to the doctor's inefficient office and, evidently, lack of respect for their patients' time.
- While Wanda was at her doctor's I paid my first visit to the Sunnyslope Planet Fitness for a
poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
, shower and quick slow heavy arms workout.
- This week's comedy was at Improv Mania in Chandler. Since there were so many comedians signed up, we each had four minutes to strut our stuff.
- Got to bed at 10:31
Fri Dec 10 = Spent much of the day with HostGator on Live Chat, establishing an FTP account and trying get FTP to work.
- Also spent time booking.
- Got to bed at 10:21 with a good low-ball JUGGLING/pee session with 20 consicuitive single-ball catches and 20 consicuitive two-ball cascade catches.
Sat Dec 11 = Major breakthrough today with my new HostGator website hosting. With help from Shirpa, I got my CoreFTP to send files to and from my temporary website there. The next hurdle is to get FTP to work from Windows.
- I called in to the Leo Laporte Show again to ask questions about changing my website hosting from Godaddy to Hostgator and SEO for Internet search engines.
- My new Logitech MX Anywhere 2s Mouse arrived (just ordered it yesterday) and I got it working with my
XPS
Dell XPS-13 laptop computer with 13.3" touch screen, 60WHr Integrated Battery, Windows 10, Intel 7th Generation Core i7 CPU, 16gb memory and 1TB SSD
. It surely is slick to have a mouce that works right and doesn't make random double clicks, drops and other funny stuff.
- I use a little
The little 10" Windows 10 computer I bought to get me by in Tobago in 2017 after my Dell XPS died. It's tight, with only 2gb RAM and a 32gb SSD hard drive, but the 128gb micro SD card I have in it helps a little.
for a short video during some of my comedy shows and got the new mouse working with it also :)
- Got to bed at 10:10 with a 5:19am high-ball JUGGLING/pee session in which I did 20 consicuitive single-ball catches.
Sun Dec 12 = Since my house got down to 68° F last night I set my thermostat to my normal winter setting, on heat at 68° F. I think the HVAC is working OK, so rather than having it checked out I spent $30 on a Kidde Firex Plug-in Carbon Monoxide Detector. I ordered, picked up from Home Depot and got it installed.
- With my booking hat on, looking to bookings for June, I organized phone calls for tomorrow to get venue leads from North Carolina and Virginia.
- This afternoon I shut off all distractions and resolved my checking account on the first try :)
- While checking out a possible opening comedian for my shows in El Paso, TX, I ran across this video of Carlos Mencia. He is going to be there this weekend. No, I'm not going to see him, but he IS funny. I added this video to my Favorite Comedians web page.
- Got to bed at 10:17pm. My Oura ring says that my ideal bedtime is between 9:15 PM - 10:15 PM.
Mon Dec 13 = In an an almost all-day project I made a number of booking phone calls (no new shows) and lined up 14, mostly new, booking calls to GA, VA and NC for tomorrow. That meant researching locations, phone numbers, hours and possible dates for each. We'll see if it pays off tomorrow with booked shows.
- This evening I got an opener for my first El Paso show. I am looking foreward to working with Genni ("Henny").
- Got to bed at 10:02 :) with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Tue Dec 14 = I spent most of the day up to my ears in booking. I got only one additional show booked: Sun May 22, 2022; 7:00pm;
VFW Post 7720; 174 Cornelia Crossing Shopping Center; Cornelia, GA 30531 -
- I've got a full day scheduled for tomorrow. Dark green are tasks (booking phone calls to make). The red is the
El Charro Hipster comedy show.
- Got to bed at 9:57 :) with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Wed Dec 15 = Today was a fairly good booking day, with new shows at Jacksonville, NC and two other veterans' posts.
- With my computer, I did my shopping list on a Google Docs spreadsheet that is also available on my cell phone.
- This week's comedy was tonight at
El Charro Hipster's open mic.
- On the way home I stopped by Winco Foods for my semi-monthly grocery shopping.
- Got to bed at 10:28
Thu Dec 16 = My furnace ran for the first time of the season this morning, and for a total of 42 minutes, keeping the hallway at 68° F. My inside bedroom wall dropped down to 67° F.
- I bought two books for my kindle: By Rod Pyle, Space 2.0: How Private Spaceflight, a Resurgent NASA, and International Partners are Creating a New Space Age and by Howard Bloom, The Lucifer Principle: A Scientific Expedition into the Forces of History and a free Kindle sample of Bloom's The God Problem.
- I saw my PCP doctor about my voice, which is acting up; not good as a comedian. He gave me a referral stat to my otolaryngologist (ENT doctor). When I phoned my ENT for an appointment, Rene remembered me from 2014, was glad to hear from me and said my voice sounded good compared to last time she saw me. She is now working from home in Prescott, AZ.
- Got to bed at 10:06 with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Fri Dec 17 = I guess my brain was active after 4:00 this mornning, because I have 30 messages on the digital recorder I use for my thoughts.
- I was a little low on energy so this morning took it a little easy by riding my exercycle a little slower than usual. This afternoon I went to LA Fitness for a brief heavy slow legs workout followed by brief light fast arms and torso workouts, preparing for gym visits of the next two days. I took an hour nap this afternoon and, according to my Oura ring, got in more deep sleep than during my usual nights.
- After a number of morning booking calls I researched space travel, inspired by Rod Pyle. Here is a neat video by astronaut, Chris Hadfienld, who went blind during his space walk.
- My hard and frustrating work making booking phone calls paid a small dividend with one new show:
Thu Jun 9, 2022; 7:00pm;
VFW Post 186; 4285 Pine Dr; Little River, SC 29566 -
- Tonight I got started on my Christmas letter.
- Got to bed at :) with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Sat Dec 18 = Toilet bowl rings are a pain in the bottom. The ring in my hall bathroom would not even yield to a pumace stone, and Lime-Away is a lie as it does not touch the rings. I found the 10x Lysol Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner, a gel, gets rid of the vexing ring. I whole hartedly recommend it.
- No, it's not chicken pox on my house. It is the Christmas Laser which projects a slowly moving pattern of changing colors. With it, it took me about 15 minuts to put up my holliday decorations the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
- Got to bed at 10:08 Alexa's alarm set for 7:58 to listen to the 8:00 news
Sun Dec 19 = Today I worked on bookings, my Christmas letter, went to Planet Fitness and I hated calling the VFW post in Holly Ridge NC because it seemed that I was just spinning my wheels. This was my eighth time to try and contact the commander. I was rewarded by not only contacting him, but also setting up the a show with all the details. He made my day and he says I made his day. Good combination.
- This evening before working on my new website hosting with Hostgator, I decided to check for loose ends on shows that I have already booked and found one that I need to put up on my website and two that I had not yet put on my Google Calendar. By the time I figured it all out and it taken care of it, it was bedtime.
- Got to bed at 10:12 and woke up at 7:50 without an alarm
Mon Dec 20 = decided to not have new head shots taken because I do not need another iron in the fire right now. I considered it because someone said that I looked older than my poster picture. That was only one person, and my current head shots are only about a year old.
- This morning I cut my hairs (which I do about every 90 days), did a
poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
and took a warm bath before I scooted off to see my ENT doctor.
- Dr. Gujrathi said my vocal cords were the same as 6 years ago, that they weren't going to get any better, that I was doing well, that surgery would probably not be worth the risk and that voice therapy had done all it could do for me. A voice coach might help strengthen my voice.
- I reviewed the voice exercises from my previous voice therapy and have been practicing off and on during the day and at night when I get up to pee by reading my Kindle aloud, talking to myself and going over some of my comedy bits. It's a good thing I live alone. Otherwise one would think that I am crazy. I think it is paying off, as I have more confidence, which was a concern for my hour-long comedy shows.
- On the way home I stopped by the N 7th St Anytime Fitness for a brief fast legs workout.
- I spent much of the rest of the day, with little success, booking more shows.
- Got to bed at 9:38, making up for some lost sleep from last night, with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Tue Dc 21 = I attempted to contact people at the Phoenix Little Theater and PVCC to see if I could get some recommendations for voice coaches. No dice yet.
- Of course I spent considerable time attempting to get more bookings for my comedy tour.
- Today's big project was to get my Christmas letters ready to mail. That didn't go so well because my new Brother printer was not handling the envelopes correctly.
- I downloaded and installed a new printer driver for the Brother. Even with that, it took a lot of experimentation to get the envelopes to print correctly. Then, since the printer wasn't printing the return addresses I had to use my rubber stamp. Finally I got all 30 letters ready for the mailbox.
- When I was supposed to be going to bed, I squeeezed in a very brief partial light fast torso workout and...
- Got to bed at 10:02 with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Wed Dec 22 = This morning I went to my nearby post office and handed over my 30 Christmas cards after I bought 100 Forever Stamps.
- Much of the rest of the day was booking phone calls. Another show was confirmed, in Springfield, VA :) I also emailed contacts to the venues for all five of my Colorado River shows. By evening I got back one completed contract. Someone is on the ball! :)
- I went to LA Fitness for a brief heavy slow legs workout, rewarded myself with one of my custom-made Protein Frosties and, since I was not in a hurry, had a nice visit with Tim DePriest, my friend who owns the juice bar there.
- Got to bed at 10:01 and got up 10 minutes before Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47
Thu Dec 23 = More booking work with no success for additional bookings.
- Early afternoon I took a 1:34 minute nap in anticipation of being up late tonight for a comedy show.
- I spent a little money with Amazon. I ordered a solid state relay to use in controling the charging of my van's house battery and two shortie, long-sleeved front-zip 7mm wetsuits, since I am not sure which size will fit best. Hopefully I'll have something that will keep me reasonably warm when kiteboarding and be easy to don and doff.
- For some reason all the spelling checkers on my
XPS
Dell XPS-13 laptop computer with 13.3" touch screen, 60WHr Integrated Battery, Windows 10, Intel 7th Generation Core i7 CPU, 16gb memory and 1TB SSD
have quit operating while I am typing. That means extra steps to check spelling and likely more misspelled words on my website :(
- Later, I was in such a rush to get off in time for a gym stop on the way to JP's Comedy Club in Gilbert, I failed to do something. I DID arrive at JP's in plenty of time to read the sign on the door, saying they were closed for the holiday until Dec 30th. Eighty miles of driving due to my stupidity.
- Got to bed at 10:28 with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Fri Dec 24 = I'm taking four days off from booking for Christmas. Who wants to get a call from America's Favorite Old Man anyway?
- This morning I spent some time researching Lagrange points is space, spurred by Rod Pyle's book, Space 2.0.
- Scott Wilkinson was discussing some movies on Leo LaPorte's podcast, so I HAD to check them out. I watched trailers for The Fifth Element, Host and Doctor Strange. I also checked out The Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz, CA
- I went to Planet Fitness for a fast 2-minutes of elypitical and my brief heavy slow torso workout to end my three-day heavy workout sequence.
- Got to bed at 10:09
Sat Dec 25 = MERRY CHRISTMAS! After this morning's shave and exercycle, but before breakfast, I drove to
George & Cindy
my younger brother and his wife who live in Mesa, Arizona and have a mountain place in Christopher Creek
's in Mesa for breakfast at 9:00. We started eating about 10:30 after the other guests arrived: Cindy's sister and her husband. We did a lot of visiting and then played TEN, An exciting push-your-luck and auction game that is new this year.
The game is pretty complex but the scoring is easy. We liked it so well that we played a second game of it. George won both games.
- New and novel learning, they say, helps to forestall dementia. Learning TEN would certainly be in that department.
- After the other guests left I helped Cindy with the Fitbit Inspire 2 I gave her and with George's Macbook Air.
- Back here at home I took a nap and then started on my big Christmas-Day Project: Trying to find a source under the hood of my van for controlling the charging of my van's House Battery (first picture), I measured and recorded about 50 voltages with the van in different configurations for about 30 connectors on this harness plug (2nd picture).
- I found a connector (orange left bottom) that meets most of my requirements: It is hot (12v) when the engine is running, both normally and with remote start, and is not normally hot while the van is in accessory mode. One slight fly in the ointment, that I will have to live with, is it is hot while while the van is starting.
- I moved a project that had been on a back burner for a while to the front and finished tweaking the pen pocket I made in a pair of cargo shorts so the pen does not descend into the point that it is necessary to spend a contorted minute to retrieve it.
- After I got to bed I received an email that I have been accepted as one of about 18 comedians for this comedy showcase. This is their ticket/poster after I made some additions, like the adress, Admit and my picture:
- Got to bed at 10:08 :) with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Sun Dec 26 = This morning I received a confirmation from CB Live to be in their Jan 13th New Faces Show. I took their ticket and added my image, the address etc. to get the above result. Of course I took extra time to write instructions for the process so it should be much more efficient next time.
- For branding, I changed my favicon (the little picture on browser tabs etc) from my headshot with glasses to my Comedy with mic & stool.
- Got to bed at 10:05 and got up at 8:30, before my Alexa alarm.
Mon Dec 27 = After a final bit of worrying and two phone calls, one to HostGator and one to GoDaddy, at 10:40 am I held my breath and pressed the magic button on my screen that changed the nameservers to HostGator. I will be paying double for hosting for a year because my GoDaddy hosting goes for another year and they do not prorate or give refunds.
- The goal of the whole thing was to get secure socket (https) for my website and save a little money down the road.
- With my comedy, a major concern is that my voice will survive hour-long comedy shows for four days in a row while I am on tour, so Friday I started talking, non stop, for an hour each day, working in some voice exercises along the way. Today was my fourth day and I think my voice is stronger as a result :)
- After an afternoon nap I made posters for my five Colorado River shows in March. I made them in assembly-line mode. Toward the end, except for correcting an address and making the background of the Elks Lodge logo transparent, it took me about two minutes to do a poster.
- Here is the result:
- This evening I went to Mountainside Fitness for a brief light fast arms workout, doing 20 reps for each muscle this time around.
- Had a pretty good day and got to bed at 9:57 with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
, I took Wanda to a doctor's appointment. While she was in to see the doctor, I was out at the Sunny Slope Planet fitness for a brief light fast torso workout. Then back at her doctor's office I had time to plan and draw icons for tomorrow night's comedy comedy open mic, and diagram the new circuitry for controlling the charging of my van's house battery.
- The solid state relay (SSR) arrived so I thouroughly bench tested it in my lab and then tested it again, operating the solenoid that will handle the high current to charge the van's house battery. The SSR will only draw 10.6mA (about 1/100 of an amp). I also found good mounting locations for both the SSR and the solenoid.
- Got to bed at 9:59 with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
Wed Dec 29 = As a reward for sending out the five show contracts for my Colorao River Tour, I scheduled to fly a Cessna 172, G1000 from Scottsdale Airport next week. I have been watching videos, practicing and going through checklists using a poster that I put up in my hallway.
- My small wetsuit was delivered. Its front zipper opens up from the bottom front of the left leg all the way up to the neck. The ideas is a suit that is easy to get on and off. It took me a while to don and doff it... by myself. It's a good thing. Otherwise it could have lead to an embarassing situation. It is made of 7mm neoprene. That means it is warm but not very stretchy so it will let in some water. Thinner would be skin tight, not let in water, but would not be as warm. Trade-offs!
- The main thing I did the rest of the day was to make a shopping list and organize my trip. I don't usually do my semi-monthly shopping until the first of the month, but I was running out of meat, apples and grapefruit, among other things.
The trip included six stops:
Albertson's for yogurt and blackberries on sale
99 Cents Only for bread and 25¢ /lb over-ripe bananas
Fry's for peanut butter, blueberries and yams on sale
LA Fitness for a brief heavy slow leggs workout
Winco for my main grocery shopping
Basha's for eggs, apples, pears and eggs on sale
- I got home too late to stow all but the things that needed the refrigerator or freezer, so I have a job tomorrow: putting stuff away.
- Got to bed at 10:30 :(
Thu Dec 30 = This morning I drove down to
Dahlia
my Phoenix rental house located on Dahlia Drive
to meet my new landscaper, Santana. So far he appears to be dependable and communicates well and is a nice guy.
- My medium wetsuit was delivered. Its front zipper opens up from the bottom front of the left leg all the way up to the neck. I'll try it on in the next few days and return it if the small one I received yesterday fits better.
- This week's comedy was this evening at Improv Mania in Chandler. I don't know what's happening at my end, but I received no email or other notification for tonight's show list. It is a good thing I messaged Liz Frisius. She phoned me that I was first on the list!
- I jumped into my van and drove the 40 miles, a little more aggressively than I like, and made it in plenty of time.
- Austin, there invited me to be on a special private show for a senior citizens' center on Jan 21st. I gratefully accepted and the event is now on my Comedy Home page.
- Got to bed at 10:30
Fri Dec 31 = Why would I want 6th credit card? It would be handy to have an unlimited 2% cash back credit card to use exclusively for my comedy, and the Fidelity Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card fills the bill. This morning's project was lining my ducks in a row, applying for and being approved for the card. Having it at the beginning of the year will help with recordkeeping.
- After a trip to Anytime Fitness for a brief heavy torso workout, to
Dahlia
my Phoenix rental house located on Dahlia Drive
to check out the yard and to Joe Cool's ARCO to get gas at (20¢ cheaper than closer stations), I installed the SSR (solid state relay) in my van's fuse box and configured it to turn on a 12v LED strip so I can monitor its operation before hooking it up to the solenoid that will be controlling the charging of my van's house battery (pictured).
- I celebrated the new year at 9:00 this evening by incrementing the copyright date on my website to 2022!
- I had a nice phone conversation with
George's
younger brother who lives in Mesa, Arizona and has a mountain place up in Christopher Creek
, talking about the old new year, the new year and other brotherly stuff.
- According to Google, during 2001 I visited 1 country, 117 cities, 608 places and traveled 18,876 miles, 13,737 of them driving.
- Got to bed at 9:58 with Alexa's daily alarm set for 7:47 and my Sangean radio set to automatically turn on the news at 8:00 in the kitchen.
