Thu Feb 1 = You might say that I wasted my time or you might say that I educated myself, but I spent about an hour exploring all the settings for BBEdit, the program I use on my
Mac
the MacBook Pro I got in May 2023, with an m2 Max processor 64GB of memory and a 2TB SSD hard drive
to edit the HTML text for my website. Interesting and may make my web-work a little more efficient.
- At our weekly meeting,
Josh
Joshua Boyle, my good friend who is a videographer, photographer and a social media guru
and I tried, but did not have time to finish posting one of my reels on social media.
- After a nap in my van I headed to the Wayward Tap House for my Legacy Seminar. My comedian friend Liz Fresius was the only person there for the seminar. I had personally invited her. Liz and I had a good exchange of ideas. I had forgotten my list of sign-ups so couldn't phone anyone. For next week I think I will give each a phone call a couple days ahead.
- When I got home, my four expensive black marbles were waiting for me in my mailbox. The marbles will help me analyze catchlights for head shots.
- Got to bed at 8:30 for 9 hours of sleep w 2.2 pees

Fri Feb 2 = To keep up with the financial end of things, after breakfast I rote myself a big check from one credit union and mobile deposited it into another.
- Back to social media, somehow I screwed up one of the video names for my Instagram Reel project, so had to get that straightened out before I could upload the videos to Google Drive. While the upload was finishing I got ready to drive down to
Josh
Joshua Boyle, my good friend who is a videographer, photographer and a social media guru
's Heavy Feathers studio to hopefully get my first reel published (on Instagram).
- While waiting I, reluctantly, installed apps on my cell phone for Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and TikTok.
- It was like spending a month climbing a mountain with Josh, my patient friend, coach and mentor, but we reached the pentacle today. He helped me post my first Instagram Reel (1st pic and link below).
- Also, I changed my instagram name to arizonaloucomedy. Thank you for the excellent idea, Josh!
- Before leaving I got another new fan (2nd pic below)
- This evening's gym trip was to the nearby Anytime Fitness for a heavy arms workout and a new fan (3rd pic). Back home, it took four minutes and four seconds go put his pic on my Fan webpage:

Sat Feb 3 = This morning I organized some things for my next Instagram Reel.
- A lot of today was spent following up on the seven American Legion and VFW posts to which I emaild show contracts on Wednesday, and which have not replied. I wish I could figure a dependable and more efficient way to do it, but each one requires a mini-research project to make sure all my ducks are in a row.
- What a good trip down - a few miles south to EōS Fitness for a heavy torso workout and eight new fans:

Sun Feb 4 = I spent about a half hour trying to submit a claim for class action lawsuit about the credit card companies overcharging merchants for processing fees. The website was broken and would not accept my claim, giving a continuous loop.
- Later on I posted a link to my new Instagram reel on Meta (FaceBook), X (Twitter), TikTok and BlueSky, a new social platform I just found out about.
- I also posted the Instagram reel on the other social media outlets.
- After supper I thought the two ladies at my door were Jehovah Witnesses since they were nicely dressed, but they rang my doorbell with a syncopated rhythm. It turns out it was my neise, Kimie, and her friend Lindsay who were in the neighborhood for a Phoenix Philharmonic Concert at North Canyon High School. It surprised me because Kim lives over 50 miles away in eastern Mesa. Of course I invited them in and we had a short but delightful visit.
- This evening I downloaded my 1099s (tax forms) & started with 1040.com who charges a flat $25 and does not rip you off like most of the other tax prep companies by escalating their charges.
- Got to bed at 10:37 for 9:08 hours of sleep with 2.4 pees

Mon Feb 5 = Mail Chimp
- After an early lunch I went down to have
Josh
Joshua Boyle, my good friend who is a videographer, photographer and a social media guru
help me put my second reel on Instagram. He was just finishing up working with Josh Graves. It was neet to be with both of my friends. Josh Boyle and I didn't get the new reel uploaded but did get cover a number of shots of me to use in future covers. Also he checked and was happy with the response I got with the first reel we posted on Friday on Instagram and the ones I posted since then on FaceBook, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
- Directly after Josh's I went to Prime Eyecare for Dr Jefry Pyritz to check my eyes. He found that my eyes were stable with little change. After knowing her for years, I got Marina, the optition, as a fan (first picture below), and on the way out to my van, another (second pic).
- On the way home I stopped by the West Northern Esporta Fitness for a brief light arms workout and six more fans (pictured below).

- Through MailChimp, I wanted to get an email out to about 860 on my email list announcing my first Reel. However, before I did that, I wanted to make sure that I had valid emailable links to the reels. By the time I got that done, it was past bedtime.
- Got to bed at 11:13 for 6:53 hours of sleep before getting up at 6:04am to try and put my Reel #2 up on social media.

Tue Feb 6 = I got up at 6:06 this morning to post my second reel on Instagram. That feat took me a little over three hours so didn't get the reels actually posted until:
9:15am Instagram
9:15am FaceBook, through Instagram
9:34am TikTok
9:58am YouTube Shorts
- By 10:40 this morning Mailchimp reported that 16% opened the emails I sent out yesterday and a .48% click rate.
- After an early lunch, Under the auspices of
Duet
The organization I support and through which I take non-driving seniors shopping and to their doctors' appointments
I took Joyce to see her eye doctor down in Scottsdale and got a new fan there (first pic). It took three and a half hours and 31 miles of driving.
- On the way home I stopped by Mountainside Fitness for my
poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
, a poo, shower, a light torso workout and a new fan (second pic).
- After supper I did my monthly grocery shopping at Basha's, Winco (where I got a new fan - third pic) and Albertson's.

- Got to bed at 10:04 for 10:56 hours of sleep, making up for last night's short night, and three pees

Wed Feb 7 = I tweaked and perfected the template of the cover for my Instagram Reels. That meant mostly finding a bold font, like this:

- This afternoon I went ti see Dr Tobin, my dermatologist for my semi-annual full body skin check. What a nice guy. He checked my skin EVERYWHERE, unlike my previous dermatologists who skipped certain body parts. Dr. Toben was gentle in the process. He also bought one of my Headshot T-shirts and became a new fan (first picture).
- On the way home I stopped by the nearby Mountainside Fitness for s brief heavy legs workout and a new fan (second picture) and stopped by Fry's Food Store to take advantage of their monthly 10% senior discount and a new fan (third pic).
Fan(s) with Lou Fan(s) with Lou Fan(s) with Lou
- Before bedtime I got my Reel #3, Silly, upload to some of the social media, ready to publish after
Josh
Joshua Boyle, my good friend who is a videographer, photographer and a social media guru
sends me a new body shot for the cover.
- Got to bed at 10:58 for 8:18 hours of sleep because I spent 1:47 posting video reels on social media when I got up for my second pee at 4:55am

Thu Feb 8 =I slept in a little to catch up on some of the sleep I missed. After breakfast I did the QR thing. I already had the URLs for my five social media links, but hadn't yet converted them to QR codes or tested those codes. That, packing up and fixing a bag for supper filled up the rest of the morning until time to leave to take
Josh
Joshua Boyle, my good friend who is a videographer, photographer and a social media guru
to lunch. We had a good lunch and a good visit. That was the first thing. The second thing was meeting with Josh at his studio to work on Social Media stuff. We got to the studio a little later than expected and Josh Graves was there a litte early for the third event...
- Josh Graves interviewing me for a special podcast, getting my responses and comments to some popular past and present lyrics. We spent about half the time setting up all the lights, cameras etc.
- After the shoot, Randhal Rosie, a comedian friend of mine, returned to the studio from a shoot and became my latest fan first pic below.
- The fourth event was my Legacy - Tour Techniques Seminar, however I had to drive almost an hour back home to get ets sign-up list, which I left at home. I hope I learned my lesson. I phoned the four people who had signed up and not shown up last week. All of them but one explained that they had things going on last week and this week so would not be coming. The fourth one's voice mailbox was full.
- The fifth event was the Wayward Tap House open mic. It was cold (lower 40's with some rain) and one of the comedians commented that he should have brought a jacket so I sold him a headshot T-shirt! For the first time I had QR codes for my social media (second pic below). I did a new set on what one can expect in a week of being an old guy.

- Got to bed at 10:55 for 9:55 hours, catching up on sleep with 2.3 pees

Fri Feb 9 = A lot of today was spent with booking, following up on previous contacts and making a couple of new contacts. I added two shows to the westbound part of my tour, bringing me up to 124 on
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
.
- Today's trip was this evening to my 99¢ Only Store for bananas and bread and to the Moon Valley LA Fitness for a brief heavy arms workout and four new fans. Joe (second pic) and I have been hanging around this gym for years:

Sat Feb 10 = Research and testing software for my
Mac
the MacBook Pro I got in May 2023, with an m2 Max processor 64GB of memory and a 2TB SSD hard drive
and for my Pixel 7 cell phone that will remove the backgrounds in pictures of me and make the backgrounds transparent took quite a bit of time today. I settled on Background Eraser Photo Editor. It is fast and does a pretty good job. It and other similar applications have difficulty with my little quiff - especially since it is getting thiner   :(
- I worked on the route for my 2025 tour. Rather than taking the southern route along I-10 through Texas and the southern states, I'll probably take the middle route along I-40 doing shows Oklahoma and Tennessee on my way to the East Coast.
- Today I mad the cover for Tuesday's Instagram Reel using a picture that
Josh
Joshua Boyle, my good friend who is a videographer, photographer and a social media guru
took of me:

- This evening I got all dressed and ready to go to the gym and then decided it would be a good idea to process and purge some of the notes I had left on my
ICD
little stereo Sony ICD-UX560 voice recorder that I use for taking notes and for recording the audio of all my comedy appearances
for the past month or so. I got them purged down to 39. They included things to do, joke notes etc. Then it was too late to go to the gym, so I'll plan on going early tomorrow.
- Got to bed at 11:20 for 9 hours of sleep with 1.3 pees

Sun Feb 11 = Well, I did not make it to the gym early, but I did contact some landscapers about redoing my front yard and one of them camae over and gave me an estimate.
- In the "heat" (lower 60's) of the day I repacked the kite stowage in my van, replacing the 15.7m kite with my 12m kite, now giving me 6, 8 & 12 meter kites.
- Roomba vacuumed the whole house at the command of Alexa.
- The the font of the warranty for the 5TB Western Digital Black USB drive I bought in July while on tour was so small it was difficult to read even with a magnifying glass. It became readable after I made a high-resolution JPG of it with my Maboto wand document scanner.
- I finally made it to the Cave Creek Rd EōS Fitness for a combined heavy torso workout and light legs workout and three new fans:

- Got to bed at 10:53 for 9:02 hours of sleep and 1.6 pees

Mon Feb 12 = I've been so focused on bookings and social media lately that I haven't noticed much that is funny, although I am sure I've been seeing it on my daily trips. Seeing it but not noticing it. I'll try to do better. Also I need to start tweaking my tour routine.
- A dentist visit for cleanning was on my schedule today - my teeth were pretty clean.
- Then across the parking lot to Planet Fitness for a workout.
- Today I opened an Instagram business account. There is no charge for it but it should allow me to schedule the postings of my reels in advance.
- Josh Graves, my comedian friend, was in the area so came by to work with me on social media - specifically collaborating with him on Instagram.
- I got my fourth reel uploaded this evening and scheduled for tomorrow morning with three social media sites, leaving two to do manually tomorrow morning.
- Got to bed at 11:44 for 8:25 hours of sleep with 1.5 pees

Tue Feb 13 = At 6:37 this morning, when I got up for my second nocturnal trip to the bathroom, I manually uploaded my fourth reel to FaceBook and Instagram. For Instagram, I somehow managed to upload my new PARTS reel with only the cover image. I had to figure how to delete it so I could redo it with the video. I got back to bed about an hour later.
- This evening I went to the Desert Ridge Mountainside Fitness for a
poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
, a light fast torso workout and three new fans:
Fan(s) with Lou Fan(s) with Lou Fan(s) with Lou
- Back home, it took me 2:17 minutes average to add the three pictures to my Fans web page. Also I started researching open mics in the LA area for when I'm there doing shows for American Legion Posts.
- Got to bed at 11:51 for 9:09 hours of sleep with 2.4 pees

Wed Feb 14 = Today was almost all taken up by getting my fifth social media reel out, starting with a 16x9 (horizontal format) clip and ending up with a 9x16 (vertical format) clip with subtitles and a cover (first pic below). By bedtime I got the reel scheduled to be posted at seven tomorrow morning on Instagram, YouTube Shorts, X (Twitter) and TikTok
- To celebrate Valentine's Day I visited Esporta Fitness, had a
Frosty
The The 9oz chocolate/cinnamon protein treat, that I mix up six at a time, which is my weekly reward for doing a heavy legs workout
, did a brief heavy legs workout and got a new fan (second image below):

- Got to bed at 11:17 for 9:23 hours of sleep with 2 pees. I apologize for including how many times I get up to use the bathroom at night (my pees) but, at my age and with BPH, controlling that is an important part of trying to get a good night's sleep.

Thu Feb 15 = Today it took me 18 minutes for the monthly payoff of all my credit cards (average of three minutes each).
- Josh Boyle had to cancel our afternoon get-together so I had some extra time to take a nap, work on my website and prepare for tonight's open mic.
- When nobody showed up this evening I canceled my Tour Techniques Seminar due to lack of interest.
- At the end of my set tonight I announced that, starting next week, my weekly open mics would switch from Thursdays at the Wayward Tap House to Tuesdays at BullShooters ; 3337 West Peoria Avenue; Phoenix, AZ 85029. BullShooters is a little closer for me and will give me a chance to work on material for Wednesday's Stir Crazy's show if I am selected for that open mic. Also, at Wayward the PA system does not reach the back of the room very well and there had been a lot of distracting loud visiting while the comedians were doing their thing.
- Got to bed at 11:50 for 9:05 hours of sleep and 2.6 pees

Fri Feb 16 = This morning I created a new spreadsheet to help me analyze the performance of my five new social network outlets.
- Then off to meet with Josh Boyle. The main thing he did in our hour together was to teach me how to navigate the social media outlets and find the information like how many views, comments, likes and shares for each of my reels on each one. Josh also used my cell phone to take a bunch of social media cover photos of me. That was after we took a test one and found that, with a mostly plane background, the transparency app on my phone treated the little quiff at the front of my hair, with respect.
- On the way home I stopped by the Colonnade LA Fitness for a brief slow heavy arms workout and for these six new fans:

- This evening I populated the spreadsheets from this morning It turns out that my latest, WRINKLED, reel has done the best.
- Got to bed at 11:41 for 9 hours of sleep with 2 pees

Sat Feb 17 = This morning I didn't have time for my
elliptical
Pro-Form Cardio HIIT
elliptical
because I fixed breakfast, lunch and supper before heading out to Buckeye, eating the breakfast on the way.
- The event was meeting
Anne's
My daughter, Roby her husband and their two daughters Ren and Brooke who live in Flagstaff, AZ
. at the Buckeye Airshow. They drove down from Flagstaff for the event (first pic). Robby was particularly interested in the event. Although he is a high-time military pilot, he is finishing up lessons for his private pilot's licence. As a member of AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) he got me a VIP ticket and we hung out. Thank you, Robby!
- They had some food there so for supper I had a lean ground beef patty, half a frank, potato salad, a leaf of Romaine lettuce and some tomato slices. I also got a new fan (second pic). Of course there was an airshow that included these Stearman biplanes (third pic). Evidently Buckeye has a sense of humor (fourth pic).
- On the way home I stopped by the Avondale Planet Fitness for their elliptical, a brief heavy torso workout and another fan (fifth pics).

- Got to bed at 11:30 for 8:50 hours of sleep with 2 pees

Sun Feb 18 = What a waste of time! After thoroughly researching new toner cartridges for my Borther Color LASER printer, I decided that the cartridges in it will last until I leave on Tour the first part of April, so I'll order new ones in August.
- At noon I put in for Stir Crazy's Wednesday Open Mic. I was not selected.
- It took quite a bit of time for me to process the pictures, get them up on my website and blog for yesterday. I am happy with the result, although it took way too long.
- After an early supper, first time, I went to Jonathan Panciano's Weekly 5pm Write Day at Rick Bronson's House Of Comedy over on High Street. It was interesting. Jonathan showed up about 5:20 and we visited about comedy and stuff until a little after 6.
- Mountainside fitness was on the way home for a brief light fast torso workout. Fortunately external rotator cuff rotations was my last exercise was because, changing the cable hight of a cable machine that I had not used before, I pulled the wrong pin - the one to adjust the pivot of the pulley instead its height. That released the pully which then swiveled down and hit my left hand, resulting in my worst-yet gym injury (hover the pic to see a more detailed view if you have a strong stomach).
hand
hand

- I had never done speed walking in a gym but wanted to make it to the front desk where they had tissues before blood started dripping from my hand. I bled for a while, sopping up the blood with their tissues. I also applied some ice which they furnished. Most evective was holding my hand up in the air. I'm sure people thought I was "America's Craziest Old Man," but it slowed the bleeding enough for me to drive home with my hand elevated while holding onto the over-door grab handle.
- Back at home I aimed a 75W incandescent reflector light on the injury for a couple 10 minutes sessions and kept my hand elevated with the assistance of a tripod. Before bed I covered the injury with a non-stick pad which I held in place with some elastic cohesive wrap.
- Before hitting the hay, I realized I had not drunk enough water for the day and drank 23 ounces just before going to bed. For the night I propped my left hand up on a pillow.
- Got to bed at 11:31 for 9:02 HOURS hours of sleep and two pees, in spite of the bedtime water.

Mon Feb 19 = Until an early lunch I mostly reviewed my next 12 social media reels and came up with possible titles for them and worked on new covers for this week's reels. I found that cropping photos with a transparent background on my phone resulted in a black background.
- This evening's big project was scheduling my social media postings for 7am tomorrow. The job was so big that I got to bed way late.
- Got to bed at 12:20 AM for 9 hours of sleep with 1.7 pees

Tue Feb 20 = Today I organized things for making show posters for 16 of my shows in April, but didn't have time to get any of the posters completed.
- At tonight's BullShooter's open mic I saw Brian Flesher, a producer with whom I rubbed shoulders when I was hosting open mics at Urban Beans back in the spring of 2021. He scheduled me for Fri Mar 15, 2024 at Cruisin'7th; 3702 N 7th Street; Phoenix, AZ 85013. He also said that the Joy Lush Club at 24 W Camelback Rd has the best open mic, so I put it on my schedule for Feb 26th, although it will be pretty close to when I leave for my California trip.
- Tonight was my second appearance at Bull Shooters. Hosts of the show were my friends Chris Herb & Sam Lackner. A guy bought two T-shirts, one of each design.
- Got to bed at 11:34 for 9:01 hours of sleep with 2 pees

Wed Feb 21 = It took me until 2pm to update my Comedy Home Page with a couple new local appearances and a VFW show in Edinboro PA which I booked a little earlier today.
- This afternoon it took me about three hours to prepare and schedule new reels for five social media outlets. They'll go live tomorrow at 7am.
- This evening's trip was going to include grocery shopping and a gym stop to earn the
Frosty
The The 9oz chocolate/cinnamon protein treat, that I mix up six at a time, which is my weekly reward for doing a heavy legs workout
that I ate after supper. I didn't make it to a gym but only made it to Winco for my semi-monthly shopping, where I got five new delightful fans:

Thu Feb 22 = Today's big project was making custom posters and assembling them into publicity kits to email to the seven American Legion and VFW posts for which I will be doing shows in April.
- After 11 days of frustrations, Moon Valley Nursery finally scheduled to fix up my front yard plants.
- Things didn't work out as expected at Mountainside Fitness this evening. After the brief heavy workout for my legs I did the first part of an arms workout because I got a day behind by not going to a gym yesterday. When I got to the locker room with my sore hand dry and doing fairly well, I decided to not shower and possibly make the hand a gooy mess, and took care of some basic hygine without getting the sore part wet. I also put off my over-due

- Back home my before-bed project was to double check and email all seven of the publicity kits with, of course, taking notes for more effenciency with the next batch.
- Got to bed at midnight for 8.5 hours of sleep with 1.5 pees

Fri Feb 23 = I changed my tune this morning after some time on the Internet, finding that wounds heal faster if kept moist, so put an oclusive bandage on to cover the lost skin on my left hand. I also applied New-Skin to a couple small abrasions from the falling pulley.
- Making a couple of booking contacts filled out most of my morning
- Boy do I feel good! It took me only about five hours to do my taxes and get them filed. It helped that for 2023 I didn't have a rental hours, didn't sell any property, buy any land, do a 1031 exchange and had my "paperwork" (PDF files) organized beforehand. I used 1040.com, which is one of the best online tax programs and only cost $25 for both the Fed & State returns. They don't try to rip you off like the companies that pay for all the high-dollar advertising.
- My reward for getting my taxes done will be to fly, so I researched available Diamond DA-20 and DA-40's nearby. Not much luck, but I did download, print out and read the DA-40 checklist.
- This evening I went to LA Fitness to finish a heavy arms workout and do a heavy torso workout. On the way home I stopped by a CVS drug store (because Target was closed) for six store-brand oclusive bandages at about $1 each, and the traditional 3' cash register receipt.
- Got to bed at 11:22 for 8:45 hours of sleep with 1.5 pees

Sat Feb 24 = Following through on the reward for getting my taxes done, I scheduled to fly a Cessna 172 with a Garmin 1000 "glass" panel. But it is way out in Mesa at Falcon Field.
- In spite of
FCP
Final Cut ProX the fancy video-editing software I got for my MacBook Pro from Apple in Sept, 2023
crashing twice while I was exporting videos, I got four reels converted to vertical format and ready for titles.
- This evening LA Fitness closed at 8:00 so did a brief light fast legs workout at Moon Valley Planet Fitnes and also got a new fan there:

- Got to bed at 12:45am for 7:40 hours of sleep before getting up for the day and for my second pee.

Sun Feb 25 = I, unsuccessfully tried to sleep in, because I got to bed so late last night. I had to get up at 8:40 this morning to pee and decided to stay up and try to make up the sleep by taking a nap. I only got in a 20-minute nap because I had a lot of things to do on today's trip, all unrelated - a logistical challenge for me.
  1. 12:30pm, leave home to get gas at the Costco, which was on the way.
  2. Leave Costco, eating lunch on the way, to visit
    George & Cindy
my younger brother and his wife (who had a masive stroke in 2022) who live in east Mesa, Arizona
  3. 1:30 Leave George & Cindy's for Falcon Field to fly a Garmin 1000 - equiped Cessna 172 and get my safety pilot as a new fan.
    Fan(s) with Lou
  4. 4:30 leave Falcon Field for Rick Bronson's House of Comedy for the Sunday Write Day by Jonathan Ponciano. He never showed up so I posted yesterday's blog and did my monthly rollover from Jan to Feb.
  5. 6:00 leave the House of Comedy for Mountainside Fitness for a
    poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
(five days late), poo and a showe.
  6. 7:00 Leave Mountainside for home and a late supper
  7. Whew!
    - Got to bed at 10:50 for 9:56 hours of sleep 2 pees

Mon Feb 26 = Most of today was spent preparing and scheduling for social medias tomorrow morning at 7am.
    - At 6:30 I left home with no time for a gym stop, for my first appearance at Joy Lush Club's 8pm open mic and was 16th on the list. Next time I'll leave home at 6:00.
    - For my set, I did a version of the opening five minutes of the hour shows I plan to do in California. It went over pretty well.
    - A lot of my comedian friends were at the show, plus some that were new to me.
    - "Lou, you can do anything you want," was what my producer friend, Bryan, told me regarding the Cruisin'7th show he has me scheduled for on March 15th. That made me feel good and reminded me that an editor told Mark Twain that he would pay him for a series of anything he wanted to write, on any subject, of any length.
    - Got to bed at 11:25 for 9:05 hours of sleep sith 2 pees

Tue Feb 27 = Unexpectedly, I got a good night's sleep last night in spite of not using my CPAP. I did it as a positional therapy experiment and to get ready for my California tour for which I will not have the CPAP.
    - The first project after breakfast was to order physical publicity kits to be shipped to both of the posts in Texas where I will be doing shows in early April. After ordering the first one for practice, it took me 13:30 to order the second kit.
    - This afternoon I decided to leave for California a day later and forget doing open mics before my scheduled veterans shows. This will give me more time to pack and, just as importantly, be able to focus on my hour-long shows for the veterans rather than worry about open mics beforehand.
    - This evening I went to my nearby Anytime Fitness for a brief arms workout
    - Staying up past bedtime, I researched and calendared signing up for open mics for the two days after my veteran shows at: Hollywood Comedy, Comedy Store and Comedy Blvd. I picked the places with slotted open mics. That is where you sign up ahead online and are scheduled for a specific date and time, as opposed to Flappers where you sign up for a lottery and can spend a whole evening and likely not go up.
    - Got to bed at 12:30am for 9:05 hours of sleep and 2.3 pees

Wed Feb 28 = I spent all morning on emails and tour bookings.
    - Later I reviewed my Yoga routine for tonight.
    - Westgate had a big car show. Since I was early for this evening's Stir Crazy comedy show I looked at a bunch of amazingly restored cars and socialized with some of the car guys and gals. I met Kevin Adams, a truck driver from Oklahoma. Of course my hooded sweatshirt and I told him about the comedy show. He recruited three of his friends and all four of them came to the show as my guests (3 out of the four, in the first pic). They had a good time.
    - The show was epic. It was a sold-out laughing crowd. I brought the house down with my Yoga routine and sold five T-shirts; two of them to one of my guests.
    - On the way home I stopped by Winco Foods to get some Grape Nuts and stuff, saving a stop on the way out of town on Friday. There I met Rosario Montanez and his fiance (second pic). He had two catastrophic injuries as a jockey. In spite of being told that he would never walk again and would never be able to see out of his left eye, he is seeing out of both eyes, actively riding and winning - both on and off the track. This young man has unbelievable determination, works hard both physically and mentally and uses his head. Click on his name. You will be inspired by the 50-minut video.

    - After bedtime I watched the interview of Rosario Montanez and added something he said to my Louisims.
    - Got to bed at 11:59 for 9:05 hours of sleep and 2.5 pees

Thu Feb 29 = I'm surely glad I opened three envelopes from Amca, my insurance company, which is a mutual company. They contained dividend checks totaling $598.
    - Today I did the final packing of my merch box, video box, tech stuff, dresser stuff, food stuff, pantry drawer, office drawer right-seat box, and drawers for morning toiletries, evening toiletries, first aid, etc.
    - I brought my little van refrigerator into the kitchen and plugged it in by the counter and have been "living" out of it. This is to make sure I'll have everything I need on tour.
    - Got to bed about 11:20 for 8:40 hours of sleep, getting up to pee before my alarm) with 2 pees
