Wed Feb 1 = The "early morning" phone call? The venue is already booked for 2023 :( At least I know now and won't have to get up early for following up.
- Today I revised the score sheet for my
Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
... twice, eliminating two blank columns to give wider squares for recording points. I am starting February with the revised version.
- I find that it is worth the extra time it takes for The Booking Game because it keeps me movtivated and focused on the important things that need to be done. This is what the previous version looked like for January:
Grid
- I created publicity kits with custom posters on the Office Depot website and ordered them to be delivered to two of the venues in California where I will be doing comedy shows next month.
- Doing my shopping list and going shopping got put off until late when I was low on energy so I did not stop by a gym, although I had my
Frosty
The The 9oz chocolate/cinnamon protein treat, that I mix up six at a time, which is my weekly reward for doing a heavy legs workout
with me just in case.
- Got to bed at 10:54 for 8:54 of sleep

Thu Feb 2 = Today I booked two shows: one in Shallotte, NC and the other in Harker Heights, TX.
- This morning I had
Roomba
The iRobot Roomba j7+ self-emptying robotic vacuum cleaner I bought in Jan 2023
vacuum the whole house. It spent 1:56 cleaning, :50 charging, emptied itself twice and collected .3oz of dirt. As always it did the living room first, but this time, did the rest of the rooms in sort of a clockwise order, mostly perpendicular to the last vacuuming.
- This evening I went to Winco bulk food department for my magic additive mixture of powders: 20 oz of cinnamon/6 oz of ginger/1 oz of nutmeg. While I was scooping out the ginger, I received a call from Texas that they wanted to book a show, so I took the information down on one of the bulk food twist ties: Fr Apr 14, 2023; 7:00pm; Moose Lodge 2179; 125 W Veterans Memorial Blvd; Harker Heights, TX 76548 -. With that, by the end of the day I set a record score of 199 on
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
.
- Next stop was LA Fitness for a legs workout to merit the protein frosty I took with me. LA Fitness did not have my finger print padlock in their Lost and Found.
- For the Harker Heights, TX show, going from only my Google Calendar Task Notes to having the show on my website, calendars, database spreadsheet etc. took 30.5 minutes. Pretty good, I figure since it is the first time I had done it all at once.
- This evening I really cleaned out and vacuumed the back of my van for tomorrow's trip to the shop.
- Got to bed at 11:22 for 8:26 of sleep

Fri Feb 3 = This morning after breakfast I packed my computer for some project work and fixed a "sack" lunch so I could...
- spend three hours in the waiting room at Ken Garf Kia while they figured out what is wrong with my van's driver's side sliding door. Turns out that it needs a new actuator, which they have ordered. Good news is it will be covered under warranty. Bad news is I will have to remove my bed because they have to take the floor up or something like that. Removing the bed will not be easy, considering it is secured with about seven bolts and screws, which are not easily accessible.
- Of course I had projects to work on while waiting. The biggest one was sending out a bunch of emails to CBS.
- I had a pleasant interruption while getting the emails ready to send out. I received a phone call from Johnnie at the Crescent City FL Moose Lodge 1641 that the board would like me to do a show there. The challenge was for me to switch from the CBS email project to Booking mode - especially with only the single 13" screen of my laptop. We got it done, including the show details: Fri May 26, 2023; 8:00pm; Moose Lodge 1641; 1982 S Hwy 17; Crescent City, FL 32112. It is at one of those confusing locations, at the intersection of three towns, so the street address is different than the post office address etc.
- Since I had eaten my lunch in the waiting room, when they were finished with my van, I headed to Planet Fitness for a brief slow heavy arms workout. Planet Fitness was the fourth gym and my last hope for finding the little gray finger print lock I had lost.
- This evening I ordered a pair of finger print locks (gray and black) to replace the blue one that had replaced the gray one I had lost. The blue one never worked so I will be returning it to Amazon.
- Got to bed at 10:54 for 8:54 of sleep

Sat Feb 4 = After my breakfast and joke writing this morning I found a video of removing the driver's sliding door motor. Unfortunately the process involves removing panels that are blocked by my bed, kite storage and my "house" battery wiring.
- At solar noon I sunned for 20 minutes under a beautiful clear sky.
- Today I scored 135 on
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
.
- Something always tries to crowd out things that need to be done like booking shows and writing jokes. Yesterday it was returning the finger print lock that did not work and ordering a new pair. Today it was receiving a bill from my ENT for $290 that did not make sense and should have been covered by insurance.
- This afternoon I watched a video on removing my van's sliding door motor and determined that about everything I have installed in the back of the van for my tour living quarters will have to come out for the dealer to do the job. I seriously considered not having the driver's sliding door fixed. The door is not latching completely.
- This evening I removed all five anchors for the van's bed and removed all the kites etc. from it's rear, under-floor, storage compartment.
- Got to bed at 11:06 for 8:41 of sleep - only had to get up once to pee :)

Sun Feb 5 = This morning I got my 10 minutes of joke writing in right after breakfast.
- I collected all my 1099-s for taxes, both electronic and paper, then spent 20 minutes on taxes with H&R Block online
- At noon I lay out in the sun.
- Tnat will teach him to mail letters on a Sunday. I cought a neighbor doing just that. He was glad to help me carry my plywood van bed framd into the house. It now has a temporary home on my kitchen island while I tweak the under-bed storage.
- With all the van work, I didn't get much booking done: only scored 19 on
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
, but did start a sequential continuity check for all my tour shows.
- This evening I programmed both newly delivered fingerprint padlocks. Both worked perfectly. You can bet I'll not lose one again, although I now have a spare.
- Got to bed at 10:48 for 8:59 of sleep

Mon Feb 6 = My busy booking day included = 22 phone calls and a score of 159 on
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
, but no new shows scheduled.
- For my van, this morning I unmounted all the
LiFePO4
my van's 100 Amp-hour Lithium/Iron/Phosphate/Oxygen house battery
charging and monitoring hardware so it will be out of the way when the tech fixes my driver's side power sliding door which is not latching properly.
- Roomba, thank you, vacuumed my house this afternoon. It stayed out of trouble until, in the living room, it decided to tangle with the nylon string lanyard of one of my train whistles. After pausing the vacuuming job it was a major operation to untangle the lanyard from Roomba's corner brush. Of course it was necessary to put Roomba upside down on the operating table (my kitchen island) to perform the procedure. When I put Roomba back down where it had been and unpaused it, it started misbehaving, was disoriented, turned around, crossed a train track and started tipping over signs and box cars. I paused it again and put it in the living room in front of its home base. When it resumed it was still a little disoriented and sort of cleaned the living room, wandering around and bumping into things a little more than usual.
- Roomba seemed to be back on track when it went to clean the other rooms.
- Toware evening I went to EōS Fitness for light arms and torso workouts and, as a bonus, five new fans:

- Although I didn't book any new show today, I worked hard and hopefully laid the groundwork of future bookings, getting a RECORD SCORE of 159 on
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows

- This evening I used RVParkie to look for Walmarts in the LA area with free overnight parking. Essentially there are none. I'll have to check with the venues where I will be doing shows about staying in their parking lots after my shows. The other times I'll have to find RV parks or motels.
- Got to bed at 11:19 for 7:22 of sleep before getting up at 6:41 AM to make booking phone calls to the east coast.

Tue Feb 7 = I sort of drug myself around all day like an old man, in spite of a 1:40 nap to make up for last night. If there is any way I can work it in the future I'll plan on getting my sleep at night rather than trying to make up for missed sleep during the day.
- Google sent me an email saying that its web crawler found my website to not be mobile friendly because it displays its pages like a desktop computer, meaning the font is very small. Zooming in is OK, as the text reformats to fit the mobile's screen width.
- After some research and experimentation I learned how to add the viewport meta tag which controls the width and scaling of a web page so that it's sized correctly on all devices. I got it added to my INDEX, BLOG, FANS and TRIPS web pages. The bad news is that I need to add the viewport meta tag to the heading of all of my web pages (about 450).
- At Mountainside Fitness this evening I did a light torso workout, got these two new fans and took a shower.

- Here when people went to my website on their cell phones, it was neat to see their screens optimally formatted for readability, although there is no ideal formatting on that small of a screen.
- I forgot to do my
poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
before getting into the shower, so I skipped the trim in the gym and did it at home where I used my Filter Queen vacuum cleaner to hopefully remove all the prickly beard clippings.
- Tonight I learned that the problems with the Boeing 737 Max were cause by a malfunctioning angle of attack sensor, that the MCAS (Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System) was programmed to override any pilot input and the pilots, in the interest of saving money, had not been trained in how to disable the MCAS.
- Got to bed at 10:59 for 8:49 of sleep

Wed Feb 8 = A first for me: I received a bill of $260 for two ENT office visits that should have cost $30 each in copay. Stephanie, in their billing department had trouble figuring things out and did not do a very good job explaining it. She said it appears that the bill was sent to me before reimbursement by UnitedHealthcare and the best approach would be to wait a couple more bills and see what happens.
- I took my van into Kia's service department so Charles, the tech, could make sure I had everything in the back out of the way for tomorrow's sliding door repair.
- This evening I watched President Joe Biden's State of the Union Address. As usual, the solution to all our country's problems. The Republican's rebuttal by Sarah Huckabee Sanders, as expected, called it fantasy.
- Got to bed at 11:12 for 8:35 of sleep

Thu Feb 9 = I got my gutted van to Kia for the driver's sliding door repair right on time at 9:00, to find that my van probably would not be ready until 1pm.
back of van cleared
- Sitting there in the Kia waiting room with the prospect of spending the next four hours trying to work with a little 13" screen, having to delay Roomba's vacuuming and missing out on noon sunning, I decided to take a Lyft to my house for all the comforts of home, including three computer screens. It cost me about $10 each way.
- This evening I drove down to Chandler to see D.J. Demers at Mike Drop Mania. The show was hosted by Mary Upchurch and the feature was Luis Alvarez, both local comedian friends of mine.
- I am honored to have D.J. as the latest fan on my website, as well as Elijah from an LA Fitness visit in the afternoon.

- Got to bed at 10:44 for 9:03 of sleep :) - still tired the next day, as usual :(

Fri Feb 10 = This morning my Monthly Blog Rollover took 26:09. Part of the reason it took so long was rolling over to a new year was a little more involved.
-
- For the van project I took out the old drawer tiers that were not doing well and assembled new drawer tiers that can be clipped together in variable stacks. They have a much more stable system. The only problem is that the new drawers slide out very easily which means they will open while driving around corners.
- After racking my brain with lots of alternatives in different places for the drawers, I thought of the best, and good looking, solution: adding a 1/8" pop rivet and washer to the lower left of each drawer. Now I'll just lift up slightly on a drawer when opening it.
Drawers Drawer stop
- Something new was added to our street today. Someone must have had a bad day. They left a trail of oil. I traced it for about eight blocks. Unfortunately it will make the asphalt deteriorate.
- I started on a project tonight that I dreamed up last night. I moved all 358 files, recorded in about nine folders, on my first Sony ICD-UX560 to my
XPS
Dell XPS-13 laptop computer with 13.3" touch screen, 60WHr Integrated Battery, Windows 10, Intel 7th Generation Core i7 CPU, 16gb memory and 1TB SSD
. They're all there from 2017. Every day I'll spend 10 minutes taking appropriate notes and purging the files. Without those files I have 41:29 hours of recording time available with the unit's built-in memory. This ICD-UX560 coordinates perfectly with my four Sony HDRCX405 camcorders unlike my second ICD-UX560 which is a fraction of a second off after an hour of recording. The ICD works really fast after getting rid of all those files.
- Got to bed at 10:59 for 8:58 of sleep

Sat Feb 11 = To avoid sitting too much I alternated website and booking (sitting) with more activity.
- For my "up and around" sessions I worked on my van's bed project. More specifically, this morning it was going through the 9 under-bed drawers I have been using and sorting and consolidating them into eight drawers. Most difficult was the first aid drawer: going from a deep drawer to a wider, shallower, drawer.
- This afternoon I got Christi, my neighbor across the street to the north, to help me carry the van's bed frame from the kitchen island back out to the van. Getting it installed with the five anchor points went pretty well as I had all the screws and things labeled.
- A little soldering job finished the van work for today. So the Kia tech could remove a big left panel to replace the sliding door motor, it had been necessary for me to cut the ceiling fan's power cord. It took a while to get everything all set to solder the cord's wires back together but the actual soldering took about five seconds. Two inches of marine grade heat shrink finished the job.
- Matching something I like with something that needs to be done worked this afternoon. I had bought too many grapes: at Winco and then at Bashas on sale. Time to freeze some. I had saved some Clark Howard podcasts to listen to while doing the mindless job of picking grapes off the stems and bagging them for freezing - nearly eight pounds.
- It may be a record, but after supper I resolved my checking account in 19:45 minutes. That did not include downloading and setting up the statement spreadsheet.
- I have been contacting some Eagles Lodges (FOE) and realized I did not have a logo ready to put on posters. I found a good one online but didn't like the white background so made the background transparent. How, you ask? I loaded the logo into my GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). It's weird but instead of selecting by color you go to Tools/Selection Tools/Fuzzy Select. That selects by color, but only adjacent areas. Then create a transparent layer by going to Layer/Transparency Alpha channels 0. Then press DELETE. Here is the result:

- Got to bed at 10:56 for 8:51 of sleep

Sun Feb 12 = Most of what I did was connecting with booking. I did get an additional show which helped my score of 127 on
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
.
- I also went to Esporta Fitness for a fast light legs workout and to get two new fans:
Lalo Castillo & Colin Parsons; Esporta Fitness, N Phoenix; 2/12/23

- Got to bed at 11:2 for 8:43 of sleep

Mon Feb 13 = Todays logistics project was researching where to park my van each night on my So CA tour. I found that after my charity shows I I'll be able to spend the night in each venue's parking lot. That still leaves several nights since I extended the tour to include some open mics.
- Much of my time today was spent researching the open mic opportunities in the LA and San Diego areas.
- Just before supper I sent an email to The Comedy Store since they are seeking new comedians - almost no chance of anyone reading it, but it only took me about 15 minutes, I'm so slow.
- I sent an email to the Hollywood Improv for more information about their open mic.
- Fairly often people ask me if I am on Instagram. Up until this afternoon, the answer was, "No." Since that is the way to sign up for the open mics at The Mad House Comedy Club in San Diego, you can now find me by searching Instagram for Arizona Lou. I should be at the top under louisself9.
- Ran out of time so didn't make it to a gym today.
- Got to bed at 11:07 for 8:40 of sleep

Tue Feb 14 = This morning I tried to link a credit union account to an online bank. We'll see how that goes, as they did not give me an immediate answer. Gotta protect against criminals, you know
- This afternoon I updated LibreOffice. While it was updating I vacuumed the back of my van. While I had my Filter Queen vacuum cleaner in the garage I took care of the crud that had collected in the cracks in the concrete of the garage floor. Something that served no purpose except to make me feel good when I go out in the garage and see the clean cracks.
- What a surprise! I received an email from the segment producer for The Late Late Show with James Corden. That was a first. I was elated... almost. The email said:

Hi Louis - thanks for reaching out to Late Late Show with James Corden. You're a strong performer and a lot of fun to watch on stage.

I don't think this material is a great fit for broadcast on Late Late Show, but it's a solid set.

Appreciate you thinking of us, and wishing you all the best,

- This evening I squeezed in this blog and...
- got to bed at 11:02 for 8:45 of sleep

Wed Feb 15 = First order this morning was to make a few booking calls (scoring 22 on
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
) and then make my shopping list.
- How not to hate doing your taxes was a presentation from Fidelity that I watched. It was sort of tedious, boring, demonstrated how onerous the US tax code is and left me still hating to do my taxes.
- Today's 6.5 hour trip included a lot of stops. Some I remember are: Best Buy where the Matt of the Geek Squad tried to fix my Bluetooth headset problem, my semimonthly grocery shopping at Winco, LA Fitness for a heavy legs workout and a protein frosty and Home Depot for a 6' strip of Diamond Plate (sometimes called tread plate or checker plate) vinyl for the floor of my van's "Board Room."
vinyl
- This was the first time I officially used my Engle Refrigerator powered by my van's new LiFePO4 system. It all worked flawlessly.
Refrig
- Got to bed at 11:19 for 8:29 of sleep and lucked out. Although a freeze warning was in effect it only got down to 33.1° F in my back yard so its temperature alarm did not sound and I did not have to get up in the middle of the night to cover my Natal Plums.

Thu Feb 16 = I lay in the beautiful Phoenix sun for 20 minutes at solar noon.
- I can't believe it took me so long: 1:20 to go online and pay off my six credit cards. That is an average of almost 15 minutes each, and I had already checked them for accuracy.
- And I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but still didn't understand Citibank's explanation of my "ThankYou Points" after reading it three times:
The Max available for redemption is the lower of your last statement balance or current balance, less the amount of your minimum payment due but no more than the redemption value of your available points.
- Got to bed at 10:57 for 8:51 of sleep

Fri Feb 17 = Yesterday it was announced that Bruce Willis' aphasia diagnosis has progressed to FTD, "frontotemporal dementia." Of course I had to learn more. That inspired me to do something 100% unnecessary, researching the lobes of the brain, which lead to changing the brain image at the top of my Comedy Home page from the first image to the second one.
brain brain
- I am starting the LASTS before my tours. Today it was my LAST trip as a volunteer Under the auspices of
Duet
The organization I support and through which I take non-driving seniors shopping and to their doctors' appointments
. I took Lowis to a doctor's appointment.
- Trying to get ahead of the game and save a little money while on tour, I used my own LASER printer to print a bunch of 3-up Early Signs of Alzheimer's sheets and made a bunch of 8-up 2.8 x 4.3" micro posters to pass out on my So CA tour. There was space on the poster to only include my four full-length hour shows:
poster front poster back.
- This evening I got the installation of all eight under-bed van drawers completed. They work great and look good.
There is a separate drawer for:
  1. food, like nuts
  2. kitchen utensils
  3. morning and shaving stuff
  4. evening toiletries
  5. first aid
  6. on-water kiteboarding like sunglasses
  7. kite line pigtails and fasteners
  8. solvents and kite repair
New appearance comming: poster
- Didn't get yesterday's Blog done until late.
- Got to bed at 11:06 for 8:41 of sleep

Sat Feb 18 = Armed with a mattress needle and button thread, I went out to my van. I had gotten drowsy this morning organizing my bookings and dealing with my malfunctioning Talk 45 Bluetooth so went out to my van's "office" area and anchored a 3' carpet piece that has kept sliding forward and bunching up. The job was a little more involved than I had expected, but hopefully the carpet will now behave and stay in place.
- Google calendar is very awkward if you change time zones like I do. The times on your calendar are guaranteed to be wrong some of the time. Discussion
- Got to bed at 11:20 for 8:28 of sleep

Sun Feb 19 = This morning I made 20 microposters (see above) for the Stir Crazy's show on Wednesday and passed out a few of them on this afternoon's trip to Walmart and Crunch Fitness. Here's the show info:
Wed Jan 25, 2023; 7:00pm; Stir Crazy; E-206 Westgate Entertainment District; 6751 N Sunset Blvd;Glendale, AZ - open mic
You MUST tell the host that you are there for Arizona Lou. Say, "Hi," and if you like, I can sit with you. Tickets

- At Crunch I got a new fan:
Savon Vance; Crunch Fitness, N Phoenix; 2/19/23
Board Room

- I got my van's "Board Room" furnished today. That means adding the boards, sand bag and flag. Here you can see it with the new Diamond Plate (sometimes called tread plate or checker plate) vinyl on the floor.

The New Kia Board Room
-I had a job to do this evening and I used it as an opportunity to check the USB powered AOC1659FWUX Monitor I use as a second monitor on tour. It worked fine. The job was sorting and updating on Google Docs the hidden storage areas in my van. Not hiding anything, but a place to stash things, out of the way, I may not need. The monitor worked perfectly and now I can use my phone or my computer to find my stuff. Also I learned how to set Google Docs for pageless so my lists are not broken up with page breaks.
- Got to bed at 11:10 for 8:37 of sleep

Mon Feb 20 = This morning I made the open-top cardboard box in the van that sits on top of my LiFePO4 battery which holds various chargers etc, shallower.
- Booking wise, I organized phone calls to local and LA media in preparation for tomorrow, scoring 54 on
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
.
- Toward evening I went to EōS Fitness; for a light arms workout and saw Jenn and Nancy laughing and having way too much fun for a gym. Now they are my latest fans.
Jenn West and Nancy Taf; EōS Fitness; N Phoenix AZ; 2/20/23

- Got to bed at 11:00 for 8:48 of sleep. Phenomenal! I only had to get up once to pee.

Tue Feb 21 = Today I made a new lanyard for my comedy body mic from some stainless steel safety wire, a spring cord lock and a shoe string I bought at Walmart.
- Roomba still had trouble this morning with the end table south of my couch so I created a new 8"x8" Keep Out zone. We'll see how it works on Thursday when Roomba cleans the whole house.
- I didn't get as much booking done as I would have liked (only scored 69 on
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
) but did make it to Mountainside Fitness for a brief light torso workout, a
poster trim
weekly trimming of my beard, eye brows and little quiff so I match my poster photos
, poo and shower.
- For tomorrow night's show I posted on Facebook, sent out a Tweet and posted on Instagram (my first post there).
- Got to bed at 11:14 for 8:34 of sleep

Wed Feb 22 = Today I got some things packed for my tour and did a little booking and scored 26 for
The Booking Game
a game I devised to score when I work on booking comedy shows
.
- Going over and timing my routines, both the 3-minute version and the 7-minute versions took some time today.
- On the way to Stir Crazy I stopped by the EōS Fitness way over at 83rd Ave and Camelback.
- For the show I did a modification of Holding. Since I had three or more guests there, they allowed me to do seven minutes. All three stand-by comedians got to go up for the nearly sell-out crowd.
- Here are the comedians who were on the show:
list comedians
- Got to bed at 10:53 for 8:54 of sleep

Thu Feb 23 = Today I put together four contract/publicity kits and emailed them to New Mexico, Texas and Arkansas. By evening I had received one confirmation and one cancellation.
- On the way for the flu and 5th COVID-19 Pfizer shots that I had scheduled at my neighborhood Albertsons, I went by Anytime Fitness to work out my deltoids since they might be sore after the shots. Then on to for the shot. The shots were not painful. I hardly even knew I got them.
- Keeping on the medical theme, I saw my Optometrist at Prime Eye Care for my semiannual check up. Little if any change from last time. It does seem to me that I have to use reading glasses a little more for fine print.
- Tonight I reorganized my van's office drawer
- Got to bed at 11:05 for 8:43 of sleep

Fri Feb 24 = Today I mostly organized things for my Southern California Charity Tour.
- At solar noon I lay in the sun under a nearly cloudless sky, thanks to the Phoenix weather
- Toward evening, for some reason I decided to test my Samson Expedition portable PA system. That was like good news and bad news. Bad news, the PA does not work because the SLA battery that powers it may be toast. The good news, I know about it in time to do something about it before I take it on tour.
PA
- Got to bed at 10:52 for 8:55 of sleep

Sat Feb 25 = I did not need another project, but had one dumped into my lap. Using three different high tech chargers, right after breakfast I tried to rejuvenate my PA system's SLA battery. No dice. I found one online at the Union Hills Ace Hardware across town, drove over, picked it up and got it tested and installed. That means the original battery lasted six years - not too shabby!
- I turned Roomba off. You have to take it off its base station, lift one wheel off the floor and press its button for three seconds.
- By bedtime I had my van all packed, including pantry and refrigerator running on internal power, all ready to pull out tomorrow morning.
- Got to bed at 10:09 for 8:30 of sleep for the last night here at home with my CPAP.

Sun Feb 26 = My goal was to depart at 9am. I almost made it, pulling out of the garage at 9:03.
- Surprisingly, I did not get drowsy driving until the last part of the trip. Taking a nap and munching on sunflower seeds in the shell got me to the Tao Comedy Studio; 131 S Western Ave; Los Angeles, CA 90004 in Koreatown. The open mic immediately followed one of their comedy classes, which was in session when I first arrived so I went back out to my van to fix and eat supper.
- For my five minutes I included my Alzheimer's set. Bobbi, the owner nixed my T-Shirt sales because she sells her own. I noticed that many of the performers used notebooks on stage.
- With the time zone change, and wanting to leave early tomorrow morning for the KFI Radio Studios, I fixed tomorrow's breakfast and got to bed early in the Elks parking lot with a low forcast of 47° F.
- Got to bed at 9:19 for 9:41 of sleep

Mon Feb 27 = My phone alarm did not sound this morning so I slept until waking up at 7am. Probably I needed the sleep.
- I went to a LA Fitness and then a library, not too far from the LA School of Comedy where Sam (f) gave us 10 minutes each. Monica and she run, what is probably the smallest comedy studio I have ever seen. Talk about efficient use of space! Lenny ran out of things to say long before he ran out of time. He made a gallant effort to fill the 10 minutes. I got these four new fans:
Sam Linderman; LA School of Comedy; Los Angeles, CA; 2/27/23
Fan

Lenny McKenzeie, Aexander Mendoza & Paddy Forcomedy; LA School of Comedy; Los Angeles, CA; 2/27/23
Fan

- In the darkness and rain, I took it a little easy driving back to the Westchester Elks Lodge for the night.
- Got to bed at 11:12 for 8:58 of sleep

Tue Feb 28 = This morning I went into the Westchester Elks Lodge. Denise, the manager and I worked out some final details for tomorrow's show.
- This evening, at the Hollywood Laugh Factory, I lucked out and got drawn from the bucket and got two minutes to do my thing.
- After the Laugh Factory I went to the Hollywood Gold's Gym. Parking was across the street, not too bad except for the cold and the rain. There wasn't time for a workout but I did get in a poster trim and shower. They had some concerns about my membership cards. I reluctantly gave them my driver's license while there.
- Got to bed at 11:44 for 8:46 of sleep
